In March the Wednesday Devotions will be at Holy Spirit with the Divine Mercy Chaplet in the presence of the exposed Blessed Sacrament. PASTOR S MESSAGE: How do we treat the less fortunate among us? That question should be in our minds after listening to the Gospel for today. So many people in our lives are hurting and sick. We might be hurting and sick too. However, todays Gospel is about care for the other person. We meet many people who are not like us in race or belief. We are called as disciples of Christ to treat them with the same respect as those around us in church, or the same people with whom we socialize. There is no difference between people in God's eyes. We are called by today's Gospel to offer assistance to everyone, even the person with whom we have nothing in common. 4 Third Sunday of Lent CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT FAITH FORMATION NEWS: Karen Hoose, Director of Faith Formation HOLY TRINITY PARISH FAITH FORMATION NEWS: Cindy Kollar, Faith Formation Coordinator Faith Formation Classes Week of March 19 th : There will be NO Faith Formation classes next weekend. THE CLOSING OF THE EMMAUS RETREAT will take place in the church this Sunday, March 19th at 5:30 P.M. All members of the parish are invited to attend in welcoming our candidates back from their weekend and to personally witness some of our youth sharing the spiritual growth they have experienced. Sunday, March 26th at the 10:00 A.M. Mass, the Confirmation Class will be presented to the parish. Please keep these candidates in your prayers as they continue their journey in Faith. Sunday, March 26th there will be a retreat team meeting at 11:00 A.M. in the Faith Formation Office. Sunday, April 2nd will be the 7th & 8th grade retreat. Information will be sent home soon. FIRST COMMUNION LEARNING CENTERS will take place on Saturday, April 8th from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. The children and parents of children receiving First Communion from Holy Spirit and Holy Trinity Churches will meet together at Holy Trinity Parish Hall. This is a wonderful opportunity for parent and child to share their faith together. SISTERS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WILL SPONSOR THE FOLLOWING EVENTS The Rummage Sale will be held on Friday, April 7th from 8:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. in the Holy Spirit Parish Hall. Please save items for the sale! March/April Baby Shower. Let our community shower the babies with disposable diapers, diaper cream, clothes for 3 mo-18 mo., baby bottles, lightly used strollers, etc. Proceeds/gifts go directly to Catholic Services-Community Maternity Services. A box will be located at the front entrance of Holy Spirit Church. ADULT FAITH FORMATION Saturday, March 25th from 11:00 A.M. 2:00 P.M. in the Spirit Café at Holy Spirit, Fr. Chris Welch will take us on a three part journey through the desert. Using story, song, poems and scripture, we will look at entering the desert, being in the desert and leaving the desert. Participants are asked to register by calling the Church office. Please bring a bagged lunch. Drinks will be provided. Wednesday, March 29th, 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. in the Holy Trinity meeting room there will be a video presentation and discussion of the topics Who is Jesus? and The Mystery of Jesus Death and Resurrection.
