This is the better part to which Jesus refers. Martha s generous hospitality is marred by her upbraiding Jesus and complaining to him about Mary. Rather than being truly hospitable, she is anxious and worried only about accomplishing a task. Her welcome shifts away from Jesus to herself. Please call the office at to let us know if you need this and which Mass you generally attend. At Communion time, go in the line where the presiding priest is and tell him you need a gluten-free host. The priest will administer the Holy gluten-free communion to you. NOMINEES NEEDED FOR NEW JOINT PASTORAL COUNCIL: Beginning next September, the Pastoral Council of Holy Trinity and of Holy Spirit of Gloversville will become the Joint Pastoral Council of Holy Trinity and Holy Spirit. If you are willing to serve, or know of anyone you would like to nominate to be a possible candidate for our Pastoral Council, please contact Jeannie PARISH OUTREACH COMMITTEE: We thank you for your generosity for Mother Teresa s Closet. We continue to ask for donations of all basic household supplies. We have been able to assist several families this past few weeks with household needs. At this time we are especially in need facial tissues, bleach, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products (tampons, maxi pads, etc.). Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. All monies collected are used to help keep our closet shelves stocked for those who may be in need. FOOD DONATIONS ARE NEEDED: for the Johnstown Food Pantry at St. John s Church. Please place your donations of non-perishable food items in the large basket located at the Clinton Street entrance of the church. Your generosity in giving is greatly needed and will help those struggling during these challenging economic times. We thank you again for your continued support.
