2 FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER 2 Sacrament of Reconciliation Saturday: 11 am-noon & 4-5 pm Daily: After the 7:00 am Mass Other times by appointment. Sacrament of Baptism Contact the Parish Of ice at least one month in advance of the desired date. Baptism preparation sessions for parents and sponsors are held the 2nd Monday of the month at 6:00 pm. The usual time for Baptism is at 4:15 pm the 4th Saturday of the month. 3 PASTOR S MESSAGE 3 Congratulation to all the children of our parish on the day of their First Holy Communion. Congratulation also to parents, relatives and teachers. As we witness our children how they receive our Lord in the Sacrament of the Eucharist, let us renew our devotion, attention and purity of heart in the reception of the Eucharist today, so that the Lord may be always the center of our life and the nourishment in our lives. In 1994 St. John Paul II wrote a letter to all children regarding the First Communion: Dear friends, there is no doubt that an unforgettable meeting with Jesus is First Holy Communion, a day to be remembered as one of life's most beautiful. The Eucharist, instituted by Christ at the Last Supper, In this Sacrament, the Lord becomes food for the soul under the appearances of bread and wine. Children receive this Sacrament solemnly a first time---in First Holy Communion---and are encouraged to receive it afterwards as often as possible in order to remain in close friendship with Jesus. Chúa Giêsu phán dụ ngôn này, nhưng họ không hiểu Người muốn nói gì. Bấy giờ Chúa Giêsu nói thêm: "Thật, Ta bảo thật các ngươi: Ta là cửa chuồng chiên. Tất cả những kẻ đã đến trước đều là trộm cướp, và chiên đã không nghe chúng. Ta là cửa, ai qua Ta mà vào, thì sẽ được cứu rỗi, người ấy sẽ ra vào và tìm thấy của nuôi thân. Kẻ trộm có ến thì chỉ đến để ăn trộm, để sát hại và phá huỷ. Còn Ta, Ta đến để cho chúng được sống và được sống dồi dào". Đó là lời Chúa. 7 IV DOMINGO DE PASCUA 7 DE MAYO Aniversario Nuestra Señora de Fátima Desde el 13 de Mayo hasta el 13 de Octubre por seis consecutivos mes vamos a celebrar el centenario de la aparición de nuestra Señora de Fátima. Cada mes el horario será el siguiente 6:30 pm Santo Rosario 7:00 pm Santa Misa 8:00 pm Procesión con la imagen afuera de la Iglesia. Los esperamos. Colecta para el Seminario Hoy Domingo IV de Pascua día de oración por las vocaciones sacerdotales. SIGAMOS AL BUEN PASTOR El tono de alegría de los tres domingos pasados se ensombrece hoy. Las tres lecturas nos recuerdan el sufrimiento, la muerte y el pecado. Nosotros, igual que la audiencia de Pedro en la primera lectura, podemos preguntar, Qué tenemos que hacer? Y la respuesta es la misma: Tenemos que converrnos. O, como Pedro dice en su primera carta, nos hemos extraviado como las ovejas perdidas y tenemos que regresar al pastor. En el Evangelio de hoy Jesús se describe a sí mismo como el pastor y sabemos que fue una de las primeras imágenes de Cristo en la Iglesia de los apóstoles. El pasaje de hoy connúa el tema más sombrío de las dos primeras lecturas. El peligro acecha y las ovejas necesitan protección. Podrían seguir un guía falso, podrían ser robadas o destruidas. Sólo con Jesús estarán a salvo. Sólo con Jesús lograremos la vida eterna. Hoy tendremos una segunda colecta para el Seminario Menor de nuestra parroquia. Muchas gracias por su generosidad.
