3 PASTOR S MESSAGE 3 Dear brothers and sisters. Behold, one is coming after me; I am not worthy to unfasten the sandals of his feet. Acts 13:25 Since June 24 falls on a Sunday this year, the Church has the opportunity for a more intense celebration of the birth of John the Baptist, who is often described as the last of the Old Testament prophets and the bridge between Judaism and Christianity. More commonly, John is known as the precursor of our Lord Jesus Christ. All the Gospels report John s basic message: Repent, the kingdom is near at hand. One greater than I is coming. Though he was a wandering preacher who dressed in camel skins and ate grasshoppers, John s legacy is one of true royalty. His origins are similar to those foretold by God through the prophet Isaiah: You are my servant, he said to me, Israel through whom I show my glory (Isaiah 49:3). John s humility I am not he was surpassed only by that of his Lord Jesus, the humble servant who followed. John the Baptist is the Lord s immediate precursor or forerunner, sent to prepare His way, who inaugurates the Gospel...from His mother s womb. He is the voice of the Consoler who is coming. With John the Baptist, the Holy Spirit begins the restoration to man of the divine likeness. God bless you all Fr. Javier 1st Day Marian Mission, surprising fruits Small groups just seemed to flow in brought by Our Lady. The day started off with a small group who prayed on Tioga st. that runs right next to my parish. Two people were murdered a few blocks from my parish there recently. I started with preparatory deliverance prayers and I wore a St. Benedict stole and ring as I walked with the people. We walked by the places of the murders, where relatives and friends happened to be standing. We gave them miraculous medals and St. Benedict medals. In other places on A and Westmoreland people asked for their houses to be blessed. I prayed deliverance prayers outside of a botanica (occult store) on B street. I spread holy salt along the way on every street as we prayed the rosary. Later in the day two groups went out at once in early evening. The Spanish speaking Legion was praying around Tioga and 8th street. I prayed with a group of sisters, our sisters the Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matara, on Clearfield from arbor st. to 2nd st. We encountered people in the drug culture that we gave rosaries. Everyone seemed open to us. One sister gave a miraculous medal to a person who I think was a drug dealer. This was an act of courage, hoping Our Lady will work on him. Thanks for all your prayers. Keep praying for us. Fr. 4 JUNE 24, Summer Noon-time Organ Recitals The Sioux Trails Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents its annual Summer Noontime Organ Recitals at 12:10 pm on Tuesdays in Mankato. Và trên khắp miền núi xứ Giuđêa, người ta loan truyền mọi việc đó. Hết thảy những ai nghe biết đều để bụng nghĩ rằng: "Con trẻ này rồi sẽ nên thế nào? Vì quả thực, bàn tay Chúa đã ở với nó". Con trẻ lớn lên, mạnh mẽ trong lòng: nó ở trong hoang địa cho đến ngày tỏ mình ra cùng dân Israel. Đó là lời Chúa. Here are some high-lights! 1Cor 13:7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things Wednesday we travel with St. Paul to Rome through a very treacherous journey. With God leading the way, the crew makes it to Rome. Wednesday we played many more games, saw a skit and more saints came to visit us! The Preschool class has been letting their fingers do the walking with St. Paul on his journey! We learned more about the Devotion to the Sacred Heart and prayed in the Church before the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We look forward to celebrating with the whole Church the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the Friday of Oratory.

Father Reyna will share personal witness about Food for The Poor s mission to care for the destitute as a means of living out the gospel mandate to love one another. 5 th Street Reconstruction Project Dirt Merchant, Inc. has notified us that they will be closing North Fifth Street from East Main Street to East Washington Street on Monday, June 26 th at 6:30 AM. Their plan is to start at Plum Street with the utility construction and work North to Washington Street. They are planning to keep the pavement on the 100 Block in tact until they need to remove it to install the new water, sanitary, and storm drains. We will keep you updated as the project progresses.
