3 PASTOR S MESSAGE 3 Dear brothers and sisters: Today we are reminded of two small parables collected by Saint Mark, almost certainly preserved in the memory of Saint Peter. Both speak of the Kingdom of God. "Kingdom of God" is an expression that refers on the one hand to sanctifying grace, and on the other to the Holy Church of Christ. What is a Kingdom? A Kingdom is a place where two things happen: on the one hand all those who live there obey a sovereign who is called with all property "King"; On the other hand, this king is in charge of governing, protecting and defending all his subjects. Here on earth there are two places where God can be called "King" in every sense: the heart of the one who lives in grace and the Holy Church. 1) First of all, the heart of those who live in grace, because grace makes sin not present in the soul. Sin causes the soul to become a kingdom of darkness and Satan: He who commits sin is a slave to sin (Jn 8:34). In the soul that lives in grace, God walks like in His house. With good reason the saints have compared the soul in grace with the garden of Paradise before the fall of Adam: God was walking through the garden at the breath of the evening breeze (Gn 3,8). The soul that is in grace can receive and know God in a true and profound way as if he were touching it and seeing it, and above all he can love God with a supernatural love. 2) The Church, for her part, is also the Kingdom of God, because she is the Holy Bride of Christ, as St. Paul teaches us; the place where God reigns in his sacraments, especially present in the Eucharist, and in His saints: in His martyrs, His holy shepherds, virgins, monks, religious, priests and faithful. Jesus is the sower who has sown this kingdom with His preaching, with His parables, but above all with His Blood on the Cross. From the moment of the Incarnation, that little grain has begun to grow larger, without men being able to explain how and why, as the Gospel says, because men do not see the action of God which is an invisible action. And we can say more: the Kingdom of God, which is the Church, not only grows without men knowing why, but it grows even if men do everything possible to prevent this growth. We can think of all the persecutions suffered by the Church throughout its history, the thousands and thousands of Christian martyrs, are witnesses of this. Think of the most subtle persecutions that all heresies have caused; the wickedness of all those who sow error, confusion in faith; those who quench hope; those who warm charity and sow hatred. No without reason Jesus says, in another parable, that the enemy also sows his own seed and mixes the bad wheat with the good. But he will never be able to suffocate the grain that the Lord has sown in the hearts of His saints. This truth should make us grow in trust in the work of God; trust in His promises that have not yet been fulfilled definitively, because the tree of the Church has not yet given its final fruits. This will happen when He comes to gather the harvest at the end of time. This confidence must also increase our commitment. The grain buried in the earth needs water to keep growing and not die, and it needs more land to be able to stretch its roots. This earth is our hearts and the water are the prayers and our sufferings with which we water the seed of God. Let us ask the Blessed Virgin to grant us to seek sanctity with all our strength, and to achieve it through her intercession. God bless you all. 4 JUNE 17, Summer Noon-time Organ Recitals The Sioux Trails Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents its annual Summer Noontime Organ Recitals at 12:10 pm on Tuesdays in Mankato. Nhưng khi gieo rồi, nó mọc lên thành cây rau lớn nhất, và đâm những cành to, đến nỗi chim trời có thể tới núp bóng được". Người dùng nhiều dụ ngôn như thế mà rao giảng lời Chúa cho họ, tuỳ sức họ có thể hiểu được, và Người chỉ nói với họ bằng dụ ngôn, nhưng khi ở riêng với các môn đệ, Người giải thích tất cả cho các ông. Here are some high-lights! Rm 12:12 Rejoice in hope, endure in affliction, persevere in prayer. Our journey with St. Paul began Tuesday we traveled with St. Paul to Jerusalem and Philippi where he was imprisoned for evangelizing to the people and saving a girl in slavery as he traveled throughout Asia Minor. Each day we learn more about the Mass, preparing for Mass, and serving during Mass as an Altar Server, Choir member, or bring up the gifts at Offertory. We each have a role in either preparing ourselves for a worth Mass as we respond to Father s prayers, sing, and listen purposefully. The Youth Group prepares a skit each day. Tuesday we were able to see the Imprisonment of St. Paul reenacted by them even as St. Paul was thrown into jail!

Prayer Support I am writing to you for prayer support of a Marian Mission I will have in my parish in North Philadelphia from June The idea is to put the Blessed Virgin Mary everywhere. This is inspired by Bishop Oliver Dashe Doeme from the Diocese of Maiduguri in northern Nigeria. He saw his people being overrun by radical Islamic terrorist, Boko Harem. En muchas de las parábolas, Jesús revela quien es Dios al comparar la naturaleza o acciones de Dios con alguna situación conocida de su audiencia. En la parábola de la semilla de mostaza, Jesús proclama una verdad maravillosa e irrefutable. Su pequeño grupo de discípulos, tan insignificantes como ellos se hubieran sentido, un día producirán un reinado poderoso cuyo crecimiento lo comenzó Dios. Las semillas de este reino fueron plantadas por Dios y es Dios quien cosechará el fruto producido por esas semillas. No se puede predecir que tanto crecerá el Reino de Dios.
