2 St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am & 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 7:30am *When there is a funeral, there is no weekday morning scheduled Mass. Confession First Friday 6:45-7:10am Saturday 3:30-4:10pm *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: If facing surgery, dealing with a chronic illness, serious accident or nearing the end of life, notify the parish office if you would like Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office six months prior to setting a date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. 3 From the Desk of the Pastor: A glorious, relaxing, and beautiful summer to all! Lord, how glorious is your name. As we begin this summer season, let us always remember our Saturday/Sunday Mass opportunity and obligation to celebrate The Most Holy Eucharist. We, as a community and People of God, daily praise His name, not only during a school year, but all 12 months of the year. Whether or not, because of travel/ vacation, don t forget your financial obligation to your parish (monthly bills do not operate on a 9 month billing cycle). Your weekly attendance has been very good, with 1st Communion being celebrated, please make sure your child has that privilege to receive The Lord Jesus at least every week, after all, they have been instructed what an honor it is to receive Jesus. The summertime refreshment is a breath of joy, send us an angel to keep us safe wherever we go. God Bless You. Fr. Effie Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel Hours that are currently open: Fridays 2:00pm-3:00pm Every other Saturday 2:00am-3:00am The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is located in the Parish Center on the campus of Precious Blood Parish. New adorers and substitutes are always welcome. Have questions about your Catholic Faith? We are going to try a question and answer section in the bulletin. In the back of church is a box you can put your question into. In the upcoming bulletins, we will post the question and the answer. St. John Bosco Youth Ministry St. John Bosco Catholic Youth Ministry reaches out to youth in grades 6 through 12 from St. Mary, Holy Family, Precious Blood, and St. Joseph. August 23: 3rd Annual Extravaganza 6:30-8:00pm at Holy Family Fellowship Hall. The Extravaganza is where we gather as adults to review the ministerial avenues of St. John Bosco Youth Ministry, get volunteers for the upcoming school year and enjoy each other s presence as leaders in youth ministry. Due to having food/materials for the evening, RSVP s are needed. RSVP by Monday, August 13. NEW: The CORE Leadership Team of St. John Bosco Youth Ministry is hosting 4 Parent Small Group Nights this summer for parents of middle and high school youth. Each session will be held at Holy Family in their Fellowship Hall from 7:00-8:00pm. Refreshments will be served. Vacation Bible School Due to the construction work, limited space and large numbers of kids that attend our summer Vacation Bible School, we feel the need to make some adjustments this year. Vacation Bible School will be held on Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15, 9:30am to noon. This will be for any child entering Kindergarten in the fall through 5th Grade. We apologize for eliminating the pre-school age kids, but we feel this is best for the safety of all. With all the added traffic and construction activity going on, we are going to need LOTS of adult volunteers (grandparents, retired men and women of the parish, etc.) this year. If you are 18 years old or older, we need your help with supervision, and all you teenager volunteers would also be very much appreciated. If you are willing to volunteer, contact Martha at or mjschmitt@evdio.org. Building For Our Future We are accepting aluminum cans as a fundraiser for the new church. Keep us in mind when you have your graduation or summer parties. Drop off your cans on the trailer in the parking lot. The Building For Our Future Campaign would like to reach out to former parishioners who might have an interest in giving to the new church. If you have a friend or relative who you think might be interested in making a donation, please let the parish office know. Embroidered St. Mary Church hats in the parish office for $5.
