2 St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am & 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 7:30am *When there is a funeral, there is no weekday scheduled Mass. Confession First Friday 6:45-7:10am Saturday 3:30-4:10pm *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: If facing surgery, dealing with a chronic illness, serious accident or nearing the end of life, notify the parish office if you would like Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office six months prior to setting a date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. 3 Mother's Day This year the annual celebration of Mother's Day occurs on the Seventh Sunday of Easter. What a wonderful day to celebrate those women in our lives who cooperated with God to create new life and those in our lives who have nurtured our lives with love and compassion. Yes, we believe that when we are open to children we have cooperated with God in creation. In addition, those women who have said yes should be recognized. The Book of Blessings has a profound blessing of mothers that recognizes that all blessings come from God. The most recognized date for the first Mother's Day in our country was in It was created by Anna Jaris. She worked tirelessly to make this day a national day in the United States. She even incorporated herself as "Mother's Day International Association" and worked for the rest of her life against the commercialism that had taken over her commemorative day. There are many instances of marking certain days for mothers in world history. However, for us it has deeper meaning because it falls during the Marian month of May. We hold our earthly mothers in high esteem and hold our heavenly mother, the Virgin Mary, in high esteem also. This Mother's Day take some real time and thank your Mom with more than just a box of candy. It is that time of year we start to collect your donations for picnic quilts. Please send in your Picnic Quilt donations, either to your group leader or to the parish office. Not on a group? Would you consider making a donation of $35 and being added to a group? You do not have to quilt or buy materials for a quilt, just make a donation and your name will be added to a group quilt. Can t give $35? Any amount will be appreciated. Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel Hours that are currently open: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month 12:00am-1:00am Fridays 2:00pm-3:00pm Saturdays 12:00am - 1:00am Every other Saturday 2:00am-3:00am 2nd Saturday of the month 5:00pm-6:00pm The Adoration Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is located in the Parish Center on the campus of Precious Blood Parish. New adorers and substitutes are always welcome. St. John Bosco Youth Ministry St. John Bosco Catholic Youth Ministry reaches out to youth in grades 6 through 12 from St. Mary, Holy Family, Precious Blood, and St. Joseph. Vacation Bible School Due to the construction work, limited space and large numbers of kids that attend our summer Vacation Bible School, we feel the need to make some adjustments this year. Vacation Bible School will be held on Monday, June 11 through Friday, June 15, 9:30am to noon. This will be for any child entering Kindergarten in the fall through 5th Grade. We apologize for eliminating the pre-school age kids, but we feel this is best for the safety of all. With all the added traffic and construction activity going on, we are going to need LOTS of adult volunteers (grandparents, retired men and women of the parish, etc.) this year. If you are 18 years old or older, we need your help with supervision, and all you teenager volunteers would also be very much appreciated.
