2 St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am & 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30am *When there is a funeral, there is no weekday morning scheduled Mass. Confessions First Friday 6:45-7:10am Saturday 3:30-4:10pm or by appointment at any time. *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: If facing surgery, dealing with a chronic illness, serious accident or nearing the end of life, notify the parish office if you would like Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office no later than six months prior to their wedding date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. Homebound Parishioners: Communion calls are made on Tuesday mornings to parishioners homes. 3 Cemetery Cross; On Saturday, January 19, the cross in the cemetery received damage; most likely the damage was caused by weather conditions. We have contacted Schum Monuments in Dale and we all are working together in assessing the situation. You ll remember that this cross was originally destroyed in the tornado and when replaced, a lengthy delay happened due to shipping from out of the country. Peace in the Mourning is a Christ focused healing retreat for Widows of any age, circumstance, and faith. Please consider a weekend made for mending hearts. Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel Hours that are currently open: 2nd & 4th Tuesday of Month at 1:00-2:00am Fridays at 3:00-4:00am Fridays at 11:00am-12:00pm (noon) 2nd Saturday of Month at 11:00pm-12:00am If there are two times listed for an adoration time, example 1st & 3rd Sundays, and you only want to do one time per month, that would help out a lot. To be added to Bosco s class, text@bosco20 to February 3 - St. Blaise - Blessing of Throats Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, May God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, And of the Holy Spirit. The special blessing of throats associated with St. Blaise is due to a miracle attributed to him. While in prison, he miraculously saved a boy choking on a fish bone. Early in the sixth century, evidence exists in the Eastern Church that Blaise was prayed to for aliments of the throat. To this day, his feast is a holy day in the Eastern Church. In the ninth century, veneration of St. Blaise came to the Western Church and became very popular. Blessing of the throats with crossed candles began in the 1500s, the height of devotion to St. Blaise, and that blessing is still part of the devotion of the Catholic Church. No matter what the facts are, St. Blaise is a constant reminder to us of God's care and concern for us in our weakness, sickness, and limited human existence. God's healing touch is with us always. St. Blaise's celebration is one of the ways in which we highlight and thank God for that care and concern. Building For Our Future Fundraisers Pizza Fundraiser: Our pizza fundraiser is going on now until February 14. Use the order form in the bulletin or call the parish office to place an order. This could be a big fundraiser for our parish. Pizzas can be picked up February 23 or 24 at Monte s in Ireland. Pampered Chef Fundraiser: This fundraiser is now until February 10. Go to to place an order. Orders must be returned to the church office or submitted online by Sunday, February 10. Aluminum Cans: Bring your aluminum cans. This has been a great fundraiser. Put them on the trailer in the church parking lot. The Message goes to every registered household in the Diocese of Evansville 6 times each year. You can read about happenings and news from around the diocese all year long by subscribing to The Message! The print edition is delivered to your mailbox each week via the U.S. Postal Service. The digital edition link is delivered right to your address. TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) is a 3 day experience for young people who are searching for goals, acceptance, meaning and for community. Adults are also welcome and encouraged to attend as they increase our witness to our faith while experiencing their own encounter with Christ. Sunday School during the 10:00am Mass in the Social Hall Library. Volunteers Needed to help Sacristan on weekends. Sacristans come a little early for Mass and turn the lights on, get items ready for Mass and help clean up after Mass. Please consider helping with this ministry.
