2 St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am and 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30am *There will be no morning Mass on funeral mornings. Also when school is cancelled or delayed because of the weather, there will be no morning/evening Mass. Sacrament of Reconciliation at St. Mary Church First Friday 7:00-7:20am Saturday 3:30-4:00pm *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: Notify the parish office if there is a need for Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office six months prior to setting a date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. 3 Ground Breaking for the new church was held last Sunday at 11:15am. Thank You to all who came and took part in this event. Thanks also to everyone who helped with the reception and clean up. It was greatly appreciated. Please mark your calendar for February 25. Bishop Joseph M Siegel will be here for Mass and Blessing of the Building Site. There will be a reception following the blessing in the Community Center Cafeteria. By subscribing to The Message, you can keep updated about news and events from around the diocese all year long. St. John Bosco Youth Ministry St. John Bosco Catholic Youth Ministry reaches out to youth in grades 6 through 12 from St. Mary, Holy Family, Precious Blood, and St. Joseph. June 9-16: Catholic Heart Work Camp in Philadelphia, PA June 21-25: One Bread, One Cup, St. Meinrad July 16-20: Notre Dame Vision, South Bend Registration for the high school summer trips is open. We will be going to Catholic Heart Work Camp, One Bread One Cup and Notre Dame Vision. Adult chaperones are needed for all trips. Women s CRHP (Christ Renews His Parish) Weekend is February 10 and 11 at St. Joseph Parish Center. The signup sheet and brochures with more information about the weekend can be found in the back of church. Men s CRHP will be March 3 and 4. Come prepared to have fun and renew your heart. The process centers around reflections by team members with small group discussions and activities. Mass is celebrated on Saturday and Sunday and Reconciliation is offered with our local priests. Servants of the Holy Spirit at 7:00pm in the Library. Just a reminder, that when there is no school or a delay in school starting, there is no Mass, morning or evening. Tuesday [01/30]: Mass will be celebrated at 6:00pm. Choir Rehearsal at 6:30pm. Wednesday [01/31]: Quilting noon to 4:00pm in the rectory basement. St Anne s Sewing 6:00pm in the Rectory basement. Religion Classes for middle school students 6:00-7:00pm and high school students 7:15-8:15pm. Thursday [02/01]: St. Anne Meeting, election of officers and speaker in the Community Center Cafeteria beginning at 6:30pm with guest speaker Steve Luegers. Friday [02/02]: Saturday [02/03]: Community Meal cooked and served by the parishioners of St. Mary. Helping at the Community Meal is a good opportunity to give back and volunteers are always welcome - call Stan Epple if interested *We are in need of volunteers to lead the Rosary before the 10:00am Mass. Call the parish office if you are interested or want more information. **The Cemetery Committee is looking for a volunteer to be on the Cemetery Committee. They meet about once a year and discuss issues or ideas about our cemetery or do work to keep our cemetery looking nice. Call the parish office for more information or if you are interested. ***We are getting low on used ink and toner cartridges. Staples will give us $2 per cartridge up to 20 per month. Siegel will be here to bless the ground for the new church. The ground blessing will take place after the 10:00am Mass with a reception following in the Community Center Cafeteria. The Building For Our Future Campaign would like to reach out to former parishioners who might have an interest in giving to the new church. If you have a friend or relative who you think might be interested in making a donation, please let the parish office know. We will be glad to get information out to them. TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) will be here at St. Mary on February 17, 18 & 19. This weekend can make such a difference in the life of a young person. Adult candidates (typically those aged 23 and older) can also participate. You will meet youth and other adults from areas all around the Diocese and find out how God fits in your life. On February 15, Paraclete CEO (Catholic Evangelization Outreach) Ministries will be going in to Branchville Prison for a reward day for the inmates that have gone a year without an infraction. This is a Catholic event an our goal is to show them God s love by just being there, listening and talking with them, feeding them and showing a Christian based film. They are looking for volunteers for the team as well as cookies and brownies for the event. Please contact Patrick Kellems at for information or to volunteer. We need homemade cookies to take to this event. Call or text and let them know how many dozen you will be donating or to learn other ways to volunteer. St. Joseph Parish is hosting a Light of the World Lenten Retreat February 16, 17, 18 and 19.
