2 St. Mary Church Mass Schedule Saturday 4:30pm Sunday 7:00am & 10:00am Tuesday at 6:00pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30am *When there is a funeral, there is no weekday morning scheduled Mass. Confessions First Friday 6:45-7:10am Saturday 3:30-4:10pm or by appointment at any time. *On Saturday when there is a wedding, there will be no confessions. Anointing of the Sick: If facing surgery, dealing with a chronic illness, serious accident or nearing the end of life, notify the parish office if you would like Fr. Erbacher to administer Anointing of the Sick. Sacrament of Baptism: Baptisms will take place the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month with Fr. Erbacher or Deacon John. Call the Parish Office to make an appointment. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners who wish to be married at St. Mary Church are asked to contact the parish office no later than six months prior to their wedding date. This will provide time for prayer, preparation and paperwork. Homebound Parishioners: Communion calls are made on Monday mornings to parishioners homes. Call the parish office if you would like a visit from our Eucharistic Minister. Gift Bearers: If you would like to carry up the gifts at offertory, please let the ushers know. Parents, great way to get our parish youth involved in the Mass. Sorry there are no collection or campaign goal updates this week. The November 25 bulletin had to be sent to our bulletin company on Friday, November 16, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. 3 Advent Day-of-Recollection Advent begins Sunday, December 2. On Thursday, December 6, St. Mary will have an Advent Day-of- Recollection. We want to invite parishioners and guests to Mass, food, fellowship and various talks. Mass will be at 8:00am, followed by breakfast. There will be opportunities for private confession, prayer and meditation. The day will close with Benediction and Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 2:00pm. A schedule of the day will follow soon. Mark your calendar and bring your friends! Building For Our Future Thank you to everyone who supported our dressing/bake sale. We appreciate everyone who helped make the dressing and baked goods and to all who bought dressing and desserts. Proceeds went to the new church fund. Drop off your aluminum cans on the trailer in the parking lot. Money raised from the cans will go to buy a new stained glass window for the church. Aluminum cans only - aluminum foil and pie pans are not accepted. The St. Anne Society Hometown Favorites Cookbook is available in the Parish Office. Make great gifts for the hard to buy for and only $10 each. Stop by the parish office and pick one up. Divine Providence Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel Hours that are currently open: 1st & 3rd Sunday of Month at 1:00-2:00pm 1st & 4th Monday of Month at 12:00-1:00am 2nd & 4th Tuesday of Month at 1:00-2:00am 3rd Wednesday of Month at 1:00-2:00am 2nd Saturday of Month at 11:00pm-12:00am If there are two times listed for an adoration time, example 1st & 3rd Sundays, and you only want to do one time per month, that would help out a lot. My son loves to hunt, is there a patron saint for hunters? Hubert was reportedly a great lover of pleasure and his chief passion was the chase, to which he devoted nearly all his time. According to the legend, Hubert was in the field the morning of Good Friday (while the faithful were crowding into church) and he was participating in the chase of a deer on horseback with his famous hounds. The Catholic Encyclopedia states: As he was pursuing a magnificent stag, and in a clearing in the forest, the animal stopped and turned. Hubert was astounded at perceiving a crucifix suspended between its antlers, while he heard a voice from the figure of Christ say, "Hubert, unless you turn to the Lord, and lead a holy life, you shall quickly fall into the abyss of Hell!" Hubert dismounted immediately from his horse, fell prostrate on the ground and asked, "Lord, what would you have me do?" He immediately received the reply, "Go and seek Lambert and he will instruct you." At the time, Lambert was the Bishop of Maastricht, who kindly received Hubert and became his spiritual advisor. Lambert taught Hubert self-discipline by forcing him to live alone as a hermit in the Ardennes (the Great French Forest) for a while. After distributing all his wealth among the poor, Hubert entered upon his studies for the priesthood and was soon ordained. Do you have questions about our Catholic Faith? You can no longer get to the cemetery using the road behind (west) of church and the road by the playground area. There will still be handicap parking on the north side of church (by the ramp) but it is very limited. You will have to exit this parking area through the main parking lot of church. Please, keep this area open for the parishioners that need to park close to church. Thanks!! There is a need of volunteers to take Holy Communion to the residents at St. Charles Health Campus on the fourth Friday of each month as well as 2 or 3 Tuesdays each month.
