4 Proclaim the Risen Christ On Easter morning everything the spring weather, the flowers, birds and butterflies, the people around us in their finery, the beautiful liturgy and music everything seems to bear witness that Jesus Christ is risen today! Like the eyewitness accounts in today s scriptures, the glorious and joyful life all around us helps us to believe the good news of the Resurrection and sing Alleluia! In the scriptures today we hear from Peter and Paul and John. All three speak with conviction about witnessing the resurrected Christ. John s Gospel account includes Mary of Magdala, who also was privileged to witness the Resurrection and tell others the good news. On this glorious Easter Sunday can we ourselves give eyewitness accounts that Jesus Christ is risen today, alive and active in our lives? Copyright J. S. Paluch Co., Inc. After many years of creativity and countless hours of skilled devotion to building our St. Ann floats for the Good Neighbor Day Parade, Mr. Scheppe has retired. We are so grateful for all of his help and dedication! We are now in need of someone to take over the coordination of our parade entry this year. We have already registered as a decorated vehicle (not a float) with accompanying walkers and will learn our position soon. We need a new group to determine our theme, decorate, and organize the walkers--we will continue to recruit participants through school and church, but desperately need a new boss. 7 Lansing Knights of Columbus 3540 Presents Friday, April 13, 2018 Clergy Night The Junior Girl Scouts of Troop are currently working on their Bronze Award, the highest honor a Junior can achieve, and their opportunity to create a service project and positively impact the lives of others. The girls have chosen to run a supply drive to benefit Ronald McDonald House. Please look for the decorated collection box in the Narthex from April 7-8 to April Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of pediatric patients receiving treatment at Advocate Children s Hospital. By donating new and unused items from their Wish List, you help defray the cost of supplies used every day in the House. Needed items include: Clorox wipes, unscented and dye free liquid laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets, paper towels, gallon-sized zip lock bags, Lysol spray, gloves for cooking and cleaning, 13-gallon kitchen garbage bags, and gift cards for Home Depot and Target (for purchasing items as they run low). Also appreciated are toothbrushes and travel-sized toothpaste and deodorants, gas cards, and gift cards to local restaurants and coffee shops.
