2 MARCH 30 11:00am Worship The Story Lives On Acts 4: :00pm Sunday Night Kaffee Devotion by Ken Johnson Phrases from Parke... An Ecumenical Good Friday Worship Service will be held on Friday evening, April 18 at 7pm at Central Presbyterian Church. The service will feature a performance of The Seven Last Words of Christ by Theodore Dubois accompanied by a small chamber orchestra. Choirs from Abingdon Baptist Church, Abingdon United Methodist Church, Central Presbyterian Church, Green Spring Presbyterian Church, and State Street United Methodist Church will be participating in this service. Featured soloists will be Jane Morison, Soprano, Andrew Cumbow, Tenor and Robert Greene, Baritone. Conducting the combined choirs will be Kevin Flannagan, Music Director at Green Spring Presbyterian Church. The service will also include clergy from the participating churches reading scripture detailing Christ's final hours on earth. This service is sponsored in part by a grant from the Presbyterian Association of Musicians. This is a service you will not want to miss!
