Dear Abingdon Baptist Family, It was so wonderful to have Pastor Mustapha with us last weekend. He lifted my spirit and challenged me to seek a deeper relationship with God. I was further amazed by the way the Abingdon Baptist Church family responded to 'Muss'" appeal. I simply suggested that we could set a goal of raising enough money to furnish nets for an entire village (roughly $2,000). The next thing I knew, we had raised nearly enough that day to meet our goal. Thank you Abingdon Baptist Church! As great as it is to be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and save lives in his name, there are still over 300 villages that have not been reached. We'll be glad to continue this project as long as there is interest and we are still receiving funds to pass along. This is a two (2) year project; wouldn't it be great if we could take responsibility for sending nets to another village next year? Sometimes it seems like the needs of those to whom we minister are overwhelming. God, however, has never invited us to solve all the problems of the world. We are to simply do what we can for as many as able, keep praying, and rest in the assurance that God will use those gifts to touch as many lives as possible. Sometime the greatest way we can share the Gospel of Christ is to be Christ to those around you. If we can do that one thing, the "Great Commission" comes to life everywhere. See you Sunday...!
