Join churches in SW Virginia, CBFVA and CBF for an exciting evening of mission immersion as we explore Familia (Ephesians 3:14-19), Latino culture and how you can minister with those around you. On Thursday April 26, we will load the coach and travel to Roanoke for this meeting. The cost is only $5 (for evening meal). We would love to have you join us! The coach will depart at 3:00pm and we should return home around 10:15pm. We will be delivering our Mission Books bookbags that have been filled by our WMU circles. Call the church office to put your name on the list for this unique mission immersion/ worship experience. Go to for more information. I hope we can fill the coach! We are almost through our YOU VE GOT THE TIME experience the New Testament listening plan for the Lenten season. You recall, a part of the emphasis is for our congregation to take an offering to help our ministry partner Faith Come By Hearing to produce the audio New Testament in the heart language of the Bamasaaba people group in Uganda. The cost to record this translation (Lumasaaba) of the New Testament is $25,596. There are 27 books from Matthew to Revelation breaking the cost down to $948 per book. We collected $1,522 in our offering for this emphasis last Sunday, March 25 th. Gifts for the Piano Restoration Fund continue to be received. Thank you. We have received $4,045 and have pledges for an additional $3,000. We need $455 more to reach our initial funding goal ($7,500) so we may schedule and begin the work on the Steinway grand piano in the choir room. Please give as the Lord leads. The total needed to complete the project (including refinishing the piano cabinet) is approximately $10,500. If you would like to make a contribution to the project, please direct your designated gifts to the Piano Restoration Fund. Easter Sunday, April 8 Flowering of the Cross As part of our Easter Celebration we will be flowering the cross again this year. Bring fresh cut flowers from your garden or ones you purchase to adorn the cross and transform it from a symbol of death to a vibrant symbol of new life. The cross will be placed at the outside front entrance to the sanctuary. When you come to church take a few moments to stop and help us decorate the cross. The flower committee will have extra flowers for our guests and those who may forget to bring flowers form home. You may decorate the cross before Sunday School, between Sunday School and worship or after the morning service. This always is a beautiful and vivid statement to our community that Jesus lives!
