1 THE CHURCH OF S AINT I GNATIUS L OYOLA A ROMAN CATHOLIC C OMMUNITY INSPIRED BY THE TRADITION OF ST. IGNATIUS, S T. HEDWIG AND S T. MARY'S ANNUNCIATION PARISHES. e, the blended Catholic community of St. Ignatius Loyola, draw strength from Word and Sacrament, W especially in the celebration of the Eucharist. Modeling Christ s work, we embrace our commitment to God s call. We remain faithful to the shared acts of prayer, study and service. Together we extend Christ s hospitality to others and light the path of peace for generations to come. Knowing God is more important than knowing about God. Karl Rahner, S.J.

Sunday Tithe $13, Additional Christmas $1, Total $15, This Week s Expenses $2, THE MORE YOU KNOW UNDERSTANDING OUR CATHOLIC FAITH This year at St. Ignatius Loyola we are renewing our focus on learning about our Catholic tradition. In addition to our regular Bible study sessions, we are adding two different monthly opportunities: The first Wednesday of each month (next session February 3rd) from 7-8 PM Father Alex and a variety of speakers from our parish and the area will give 30 minute talks on some aspect of our faith, followed by a brief discussion. The second Wednesday of each month (next session February 10th) from 7-8 PM we will be watching installments of Fr. Robert Barron's 10-part Catholicism series. This DVD series is a recent critically-acclaimed look at the faith we hold as Roman Catholics. None of these talks are cumulative, so you can attend every month or only when it interests you. Keep watching for details on the topics we will cover and please consider spending some time exploring the faith with us this year. W E E K L Y M E D I T A T I O N And so his public ministry begins. How awed the disciples had to be at this first revelation of Jesus divinity. John uses the changing of the water into wine as a sign which reveals the power and glory of God working through Jesus. May we, like the servers at the wedding feast, follow Mary s instruction to Do whatever He tells us, so that we may also undergo a transformation from earthly desires to a new life in Christ. We should have faith and trust and believe that miracles can happen in our lives also. Don t forget! Food Collection each and every weekend at the vestibules of Church and Chapel.
