1 THE CHURCH OF S AINT I GNATIUS L OYOLA A ROMAN CATHOLIC C OMMUNITY INSPIRED BY THE TRADITION OF ST. IGNATIUS, S T. HEDWIG AND S T. MARY'S ANNUNCIATION PARISHES. W e, the blended Catholic community of St. Ignatius Loyola, draw strength from Word and Sacrament, especially in the celebration of the Eucharist. Modeling Christ s work, we embrace our commitment to God s call. We remain faithful to the shared acts of prayer, study and service. Together we extend Christ s hospitality to others and light the path of peace for generations to come. Knowing God is more important than knowing about God. - Karl Rahner, S.J.

WEEKLY MEDITATION World Mission Sunday How appropriate on this World Mission Sunday that our liturgical scriptures speak of suffering, service and trust. The dedicated and dauntless men and women who dedicate themselves to missionary work display all three of the attributes. Suffering is part of their life-styles: living in a foreign culture, often with unfamiliar language and customs. Service is incorporated into their daily activities: healing, nourishing, teaching. And most of all trust: shown by their willingness to endure hardships, face challenges and make sacrifices as they spread the Gospel. W O R S H I P L I T U R G Y A N D P R A Y E R CONGRATULATIONS Through the Sacrament of Baptism we joyfully welcome into our Christian community the following baby: Michael Greyson Ferris. Many prayers to him as he begins his new life in Christ Jesus. HANDBELL CHOIR The handbell choir is in need of 1 or 2 ringers for this Fall season. Musical knowledge is a help but not a necessity. If you have an interest in learning how to ring or learning more about the bell choir, please contact Carmella Faust at religiouseducation1@yahoo.com or Participation in bell choir also counts as service for any high school student who is in need of hours. MASS OF REMEMBRANCE All parishioners are invited to attend and support our families who have lost someone special this past year at a Mass of Remembrance on Monday, November 5th at 7:00 PM. This is also an opportunity for all parishioners to pray for the beloved deceased member of your families in a unique setting. Invitations were mailed to family members of the deceased who have been buried from St. Ignatius Loyola Church during this past year. ALL SOULS ENVELOPES In your envelope packet for November, you will find an envelope for All Souls Day, November 2nd. This is a day set aside by the Church to especially remember our deceased loved ones. You are invited to write the names of your loved ones on the envelope and place an offering inside. These envelopes are kept on the altar during the month of November and are remembered in a special way by the celebrants of the Masses that month. Don t forget! Food Collection each and every weekend at the vestibules of the Church and Chapel.
