Therefore communion, like grace itself, is available to all people without regard to age, church membership status, relationship to Oak Grove, or denominational affiliation. The table belongs to God, so all are welcome. If you prefer gluten-free elements, please go to the station to the left of the pulpit. Once you receive the bread, please dip it in the grape juice in the chalice. After receiving communion you may kneel at the chancel to pray or return to your seat. This year s collection will go to help with the feeding of the refugees in Clarkston through our C4C (Caring for Clarkston) ministries. We will have Confirmands standing at the entrances at 8:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11 a.m. holding large soup pots. All you have to do is put money in the soup pots to help those in need. The people of Anatevka face a world that is rapidly changing, but their traditions help them stay the course. When those traditions are threatened, and they face displacement because of their religious views, how will they cope? Come share their joys and sorrows with the Drama Ministry as we present this well-loved musical February 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. and February 11 at 4 p.m. Childcare is available for the Saturday show only. Called Charge Conference There will be a called Charge Conference on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 7 p.m. in Grand Hall to correct a report of clergy salaries filed in the fall. A Charge Conference is a meeting of the Church Council under the authority of the District Superintendent. CHURCH ACCESS For everyone s safety and security, the church is open for scheduled events only. At no time does the church have open gym or open building when people are allowed unsupervised access to the building. This is especially important with youth and young adults using the gym. There is never a time when it is permissible for youth to access the building without scheduling the building or participating in a church activity.

If you are a Single NO PROBLEM! We will pair you with a grouping. Cost: $ per player (3 mulligans available for $25.00) Please make checks payable to Oak Grove UMC OR pay online ( Registration Deadline: February 20, 2017 Forms available online ( in the church office or from Youth Choir members and mentors. Prizes: Excellent prizes for closest to the hole, longest drive, and top three teams. Sponsorship: If your business, or you as an individual, would sponsor a hole, you may do so for $ Join us for a weekend full of fun, bonfires, hiking, kids activities, free time, and fellowship at Forrest Hills Mountain Resort and Retreat Center in Dahlonega, GA! Cost: $375/room double occupancy. Additional charges for children: $75 per child ages 3-11 years old, $90 per child ages 11 and up. Children under the age of 3 are free. All prices include rustic motel lodging, two breakfast and two dinner meals, and bonfires each night complete with s'mores. Please note that Saturday lunch is not included and will be on your own. Sunday lunch is not included but available at Forrest Hills. Check in starts on Friday, March 24, at 3 p.m., and the retreat will end following a worship service on Sunday morning. Saturday will feature a getting-to-know-you morning session with separate planned children s activities, lunch on your own, and an afternoon of free time to relax or explore North Georgia attractions. Forrest Hills Mountain Resort and Retreat Center is about an hour and a half north of Atlanta. It offers motel style lodging with rooms large enough for the whole family. Each lodge has a communal kitchen, living room, outdoor space, and meeting room. You will be notified of your lodge assignment prior to arrival so you can plan snacks and drinks with others in your lodge, if you'd like. Caring Callers Needed Our Nurture Ministry is currently in need of some people to make caring calls to people in our congregation. These callers reach out by phone to people on our prayer list to check in and share Oak Grove s concern. Training is available. 8 Text To Give You can text to give at anytime from anywhere you have service. 1. Enter in the TO line. Remember this is a text, not an In the message line, enter a dollar amount of at least $3.00. You must start with a dollar sign and use a decimal point. For example. $10.79 or $ After the last digit insert one and only one space then enter designation, e.g. Blessing. 4. FIRST TIME ONLY You will receive a link to Vanco where you will securely enter your information and confirm your transaction. Once you successfully register, you will receive a text and confirmation of your gift as well as an option to refund. 5. In the future, you need only to text the dollar amount and the designation. Unless you designate a fund, the money will go to Operating. Designation options will change. Currently you may choose from the following case sensitive choices: Building (building fund), Blessing (ongoing mission offering), and Other. If you choose Other, you can type in the ministry or event you are paying for in the box. 6. If you need to change information on the credit card you are using, type #edit and you will be directed to the website to make changes. 7. If you have any questions, please contact the Church Administrator, Dale Smith (dsmith@ogumc.org). Troubleshooting 1. Make sure you enter the dollar amount in the proper format using the $ and a decimal. 2. In registering your name and in the initial registration remove any extra spaces. If you have a space at the beginning or the end, the system will not accept your donation. 3. Check the spelling on designated accounts. The words are case sensitive.
