New students may register at anytime before August 1st. All assignments for our faith formation communities are done through the Faith Formation Office only. Sacraments for Older Children: If your child is beyond second grade and has not received the sacraments of Reconciliation or First Communion, a preparation class will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 10am-11am in Father Crawford Hall. At this time a summer calendar for preparation classes will be handed out. Please contact the Faith Formation Office to register for this class. Thank you. This year will include having non-players working at various tasks for the tournament, such as measuring closest to the pin s on par 3 s, a raffle and monitoring play. Are you or is someone you know ready to explore the Bible? Registrations for the fifteenth anniversary class of the Archdiocesan Catholic Biblical School will be considered through August 15th. Classes will be held at various locations around the diocese and both in the evening and during the Day. These trips are not fundraisers, but are meant to build community amongst parishes. Several Incarnation parishioners have attended these trips in the past. August 14th trip will be The CT River & French King Gorge Experience. September 30th trip will be Wine & Dine in Hudson Valley, NY and the final trip will be; Shop till You Drop in Kittery Maine on November 14th. PRECIOUS BLOOD On this solemnity we focus our attention on the Body and Blood of Christ. We listen to the story of the renewal of the First Covenant, which Moses sealed by splashing the blood of animals on the altar of sacrifice, as well as on the people. Jesus, whose blood is the blood of the new covenant, shed that precious blood on the cross, saving us from sin and promising us everlasting life. Blood is the life source that courses through our bodies. The precious blood of Christ is the life source for our spirits. Today may we, like the psalmist, offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to the Lord, whose body and blood strengthens us to bring the Good News to everyone we meet. TODAY S READINGS First Reading This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you (Exodus 24:3-8). Psalm I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of the Lord (Psalm 116).
