It is a source of comfort during the long night keeping me warm and reminding me of those who have cared and spent time knitting this for me. I love my shawl. The power of the ordinary turned into the extraordinary is the ministry of prayer shawls, which are quiet gifts of hope and community to those who receive them, and for those who knit them a blessed opportunity to support another person. We bless our Prayer Shawls the first Sunday morning of the month. The shawls are created by volunteers with loving hands and prayers. Volunteer knitters or crocheters are needed. Yarn has been donated for those who would like to use it. If you know of someone who is sick or in need of a shawl, please contact Norma Stuck, normaestuck@gmail. com, or call the office. Now our mission turns to maintenance. A small Campus Care Committee has formed for this purpose, including Paul Gunderson, Jim Micallef, Marcella Simmons, Loren Solin and led by Michael Arnold, who Chairs the Building Committee and serves as Junior Warden on Trinity s Vestry. You can help by letting CCC know when you spot something which needs maintenance. So far, we ve heard about a couple of cracked roof tiles and a tripped circuit breaker. If you see a maintenance opportunity, please let the Campus Care Committee know by campuscare@ trinitysb.org. 6 PSALM 51:1-13 Have mercy on me, O God, according to your loving-kindness; in your great compassion blot out my offenses. Wash me through and through from my wickedness and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you only have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight. And so you are justified when you speak and upright in your judgment. Indeed, I have been wicked from my birth, a sinner from my mother s womb. For behold, you look for truth deep within me, and will make me understand wisdom secretly. Purge me from my sin, and I shall be pure; wash me, and I shall be clean indeed. Make me hear of joy and gladness, that the body you have broken may rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your holy Spirit from me. Give me the joy of your saving help again and sustain me with your bountiful Spirit.
