Please be generous in this week s Collection (using the special envelope provided last weekend or at the entrance) and support this important work. Remember, half of your donations stay in our diocese to support our communication needs. CCC is how the Good News gets around to you. MEMORIAL MASS: The FertilityCare Center of the Upper Ohio Valley, Inc. and the Weirton Catholic Community Pro- Life Association are sponsoring a Memorial Mass for Babies Who Died Before Birth whether by miscarriage, abortion or ectopic pregnancy. No distinctions will be made. The Mass will be held on Friday, May 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Church in Weirton, WV. The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered at 6:00 p.m. This Mass is for anyone who has suffered such a loss whether recently or years ago. In order that we may best honor these children we are asking that those interested RSVP by calling or All family members and friends are welcome. DONUT SUNDAY Our next Donut Sunday will be held in the Holy Rosary Auditorium on May 19th following the 8:30, 10:00 and 11:30 AM Masses. Please join our parish family in mingling with old friends and making new ones. 2 CATHOLIC WOMEN CLUB NOTES: #1 -Thank you! Thank You! Thank you! Thank you to Marie Highfield who designed the beautiful Holy Card, to Sr. Isabel Bettwy and Rosie Snelting who printed them, and to Mary Ann Bushlow, Teresa Harold, and all the TOTC women who made the rosaries that were given to our First Communicants. This was truly a Parish effort. Thank you! #2- Calling all Triumph of the Cross Parish women! What is the DCCW Convention? We gather with Bishop Monforton to pray for those women in our parish who have gone on before us to meet the Lord. We honor the work that women in our diocese have done to support family life and to encourage the vocations of our priests and religious. We share a meal at Froehlich s Classic Corner. Prayer, Food, and Fellowship for $20. Don t miss the 68 th annual DCCW Convention on June 5th!. Registration 8:15 8:45 a.m. Holy Name Cathedral Social Hall. Pope Francis, Mass of the Lord s Supper, The Madonna Plan improves the health, education and financial security of poor women and children throughout the world. Every year on Mother s Day, the TOTC Catholic Women s Club asks each family to consider donating $1 to the Madonna Plan and CWC members will be collecting donations after every Mass. Thank you for your generous support.

3 CATHOLIC SCHOOLS INFORMATION SCRIP NEWS: Please take a moment to re-enroll or register your Kroger card for the first time!!! The Kroger Community Rewards Program gives BJKM Elementary free money based on your purchases. Go to to enroll your Kroger Plus card, First time enrollees must create Kroger account and choose #80086 (Bishop John King Mussio), and save changes Current families need to re-enroll your card for tuition credit by logging into current Kroger Account, choose #80086 (Bishop John King) And click SAVE CHANGES. Call Liz Borden for help our school get free money with your purchases!! In order to continue paying a large assessment to the school to help with keeping tuition costs low, we are asking that everyone PLEASE register their Kroger cards online at: Even if you don t shop a lot at Kroger, or if you do not utilize the SCRIP program, this is free money that will come to the school! WE need everyone s help to keep it going!!! This re-registration process happens once a year and will guarantee credit until Log into your Kroger account (or create one) 2. Remember to use the same and password (or keep track of the new one you create) 3. Choose #80086 and then be sure to click SAVE CHANGES. 4. FIRST COMMUNION CONGRATULATIONS AND BLESSINGS UPON FIRST COMMUNICANTS! It was with great joy that we celebrated the love that Jesus has for these children and His desire to dwell with them on Saturday, May 4 th at Holy Name Cathedral. Our parish is blessed by these children and their families. Every time this mystery is celebrated, the work of our redemption is carried on and we break the one bread that provides the medicine of immortality, the antidote for death, and the food that makes us live forever in Jesus Christ.
