1 TRIUMPH OF THE CROSS PARISH CWC CARD PARTY: Our parish Catholic Women s club is hosting a Fall Card Party on Sunday, September 18, 2011 in the Holy Rosary Auditorium. The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. The admission cost is $5.00 and lunch will be served. Many of you received envelopes from the ladies for their CWC Raffle, we encourage you to return them and the money as soon as possible. All the women of the parish are welcome to join us for our CWC meeting Tuesday September 6, at 6 p.m., in Holy Rosary Auditorium. Join us for fellowship and fun. Gifts from the Heart ESTATE GIFT: This week we were blessed to receive a gift of $ from the estate of Anna Salanci. Ann always gave of her time, talent and treasures to the church and remembered to help all of us, even in her dying. We are most grateful to Ann s family for fulfilling her desires and for being such a wonderful family for Ann during her illness. Please follow Ann s example and support your parish community throughout your life. MORNING PRAYER AT THE CATHEDRAL "It is you whom I invoke, O Lord. In the morning you hear me; in the morning I offer you my prayer, watching and waiting." (Ps. 5:3) Beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6, Morning Prayer from the Liturgy of the Hours will be prayed in the Eucharistic chapel of Holy Name Cathedral at 6:40 AM, before the 7:00 AM Mass. All are welcome to come and join in praying together this wonderful prayer of the Church through which the Church offers the whole day up to the Lord. The Liturgy of the Hours prayer book will be provided. The doors of the Cathedral are open by 6:30 a.m., courtesy of Mr. Greg Bahen, Sr. Morning Prayer will begin promptly at 6:40. This is being coordinated through the dedication of Mary Kay Lacke. 2 SEPTEMBER 11 TH BLUE MASS: Remembering our local fallen heroes and the 10 th Anniversary of September 11, All are invited to attend a special Blue Mass in honor of our local police, fire, and EMS along with their families on Sunday September 11 at 11:00am at St. Peter s Catholic Church in Steubenville. Please come and join us in praying for our local safety service personnel, remembering our local fallen heroes and in honoring those who gave the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, The Blue Mass was first celebrated at St. Patrick s Catholic Church in Washington, D.C. in Since then, the Blue Mass has been celebrated in many churches throughout the country in honor of those who have died in the line of duty and to ask God s blessing upon the local law enforcement officers and firefighters who currently serve their community. All law enforcement officers, firemen and EMS personnel are invited and encouraged to attend. (Please arrive no later than 10:45am in uniform ). SPAGHETTI DINNER: The Knights of Columbus Council 472, at Two Ridge Rd., Wintersville, Ohio Saturday, Sept. 10, :30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is open to the public. The adult dinners are $7.00 and children dinners 12 and under are $4.00. The menu is salad, spaghetti and meatballs, bread (plain or garlic), dessert, and coffee.
