We have a month full of events to help the youth of Steubenville enter into Lent and to prepare for the greatest feast of the year The Resurrection of Christ! Lent is a time of new beginnings, a time of trying new things to help us draw closer to Christ. I encourage all those young people who have not attended the youth group, to give it a try. The events for this month are listed below. For more details check our website: March 14 Anchor Night * * Diving into God s Word 6:30-8:30 at Holy Rosary Auditorium. ** Each Anchor Night includes random activities, some time for prayer, good food and time to hang out. Unless a change is noted, we meet every Sunday from 6:30-8:30 at Holy Rosary Auditorium** March 21 Anchor Night Praising Our God 6:30-8:30 Tonight we will have a time of Eucharistic Adoration. March 27 Service Out Reach Almsgiving for Lent Sat 9am-11: 45am. Meet at Holy Name Cathedral Church basement to serve those less fortunate than ourselves with LAMP ministries. Our group will provide the catechesis and serve meals. March 28 Special Event The Passion of the Christ 6:30-9pm (note time change). Our group will watch the movie together and have a short discussion after the film. April 4 EASTER! No meeting CAN YOU HELP OUR YOUTH? The Senior High youth ministry is off to a great start. Two weekends ago 40 students (and 10 team members) participated in a dynamic weekend retreat with the theme -More Than Gold. The kids had a great and very blessed time of fun and prayer. Knowing that a retreat could help solidify the new youth group, we decided to make the price of the retreat extremely reasonable so that all the kids that wanted to go would not prevented by the cost. In doing so, we have exhausted a good deal of our funds. Is there any way you could help us out? Any donation given to the Senior High youth program will be used to serve the youth of the parish - helping them become strong and faithful Catholics. Please consider making a donation! (donations can be sent or dropped off at the parish offices attn: Sr. Anne Marie, or put in the collection marked for Senior High Youth group/sr. Anne Marie). Thank you so much! May God bless and keep you! Sr. Anne Marie Gill, TOR - Youth Minister of the City of Steubenville Parishes.
