3 ELEVENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME ~ JUNE 17, 2018 A PRAYER FOR FATHERS A FATHER S DAY GIFT God and Father of all creation, we come before you today with humble hearts. You are our model of a loving father. When we fail and fall short of your expectations, you are always there at the end of the day with open arms, ready to heal the cuts and scrapes of the day and to encourage us to try again and not to give up. All fathers present at Mass today are invited to pick up a copy of A Father s Prayerbook after Mass. The booklet is a gift to you from Saint Joseph Parish. A number of parishioners attended our Meet the Parish Pastoral Council event in April and submitted questions and comments. The Pastoral Council discussed these concerns and also reached out to the appropriate parish ministries to research and address them. For a list of the submitted questions/comments and the Parish Pastoral Council s responses, go to: Bless them in their moments of doubt and frustration with their children. SAINT JOSEPH CHURCH ORADELL/NEW MILFORD, NJ 4 WOMEN'S CORNERSTONE MEETING JUNE 21 Have you experienced Cornerstone and want to feel again the way you did during the Retreat? Well, here's your chance. Even if you made Cornerstone in another parish, you are invited to our monthly meetings. This month we will gather on June 21 in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 199 River Road, New Milford at 8:00 pm. A good meeting is being planned for you with singing, sharing and a little time at the end for refreshments and fellowship with your Cornerstone Sisters. FAMILY SHELTER MINISTRY JUNE St. Peter the Apostle Church in River Edge, together with their support congregations Temple Avodat Shalom & First Congregational Church of River Edge and Saint Joseph, New Milford/Oradell, will be hosting homeless families in the Family Promise of Bergen County program. Families with children who are currently homeless and working towards finding permanent housing through Family Promise will be calling St. Peter s their home for the week of June 17 through June 24.
