A special thanks to our Thrivent board for sponsoring and organizing this event. CHANNEL ONE FOOD BARREL Did you notice the fool barrel in the narthex? If not, make sure to look for it. It will have a permanent home here at Redeemer! It will be out for donations all throughout the year instead of just during a special time. He sold that business and retired at the age of 43 and entered fulltime ministry, founding Canopy Ministry. Extensive world travels to foreign mission fields and 8 trips for field work in the Grand Canyon have provided outstanding training on the subject of the Grand Canyon and the global flood. 5 BEAT DRY SKIN THIS WINTER Winter s cold winds and dry air can sap water and oil from your skin, leaving it cracked, dry, and itchy. Stress, aging, and smoking also contribute. Put a damper on dry skin by: Limiting showers and baths to 10 minutes. Hot water strips skin s oils, so keep it lukewarm. Use a mild soap or non-soap cleanser. Apply a moisturizing ointment or cream immediately after bathing to lock in moisture. Reapply throughout the day. Thick products (creams rather than lotions) work best. Minimize shaving irritations by replacing razors often and using shaving cream or gel. Shave in the direction hair grows. Drink plenty of water. Use a humidifier if you have forced-air heating or if the air in your home feels dry. If severe dry skin lasts longer than two weeks, appears red and swollen, or oozes, contact a dermatologist. You may have an infection or other problem. -Olmsted Medical Center HealthNotes NEXT WEEKEND S READINGS Revelation 7:9-17, 1 John 3:1-3, and Matthew 5:1-12 Theme: Believers From Every Nation Together OUR RESPONSE TO GOD LAST WEEK: Weekend Worship Attendance: 564 ( ) Guests: 76 Sunday School / Bible Classes 197 (81+116) 5
