Happy are they whose transgressions are forgiven, and whose sin is put away! Psalm 32:1 There will be no adult forum this Sunday, 3/31 or in April. The Midweek Lenten Services are held on Wednesdays. This year there will be no soup supper or speaker. We will instead share in a time of reflection through a brief vespers service throughout the season of Lent. The services will be held at 7:30PM on Wednesdays continuing through April 10 th. We look forward to seeing you during this season of reflection. Worship Assistants are needed for services in April, including Holy Week and Easter Services. Please sign up on the table in the Narthex if you can help. The Bishop recently authorized Vicar Dan to preside at Communion at Prince of Peace without an ordained pastor present. Donations for Easter Egg Hunt: We will have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children between Easter Services again this year. A box is in the narthex for donations of individually wrapped candy, stickers, bouncy balls, and other items that will fit inside plastic Easter Eggs. Please drop off donations before March 31 st so we ll have time to prepare them for Easter. Parish Life is looking for people to help setup, cleanup and serve at the Easter Sunday breakfast to be held from 9:30AM to 11:00AM. If you can help please contact Joan Manka at (203) , leave a message. Set-up will be at 10:00AM Saturday morning (4/20). Please note that there will not be a 5:00PM Worship Service next Saturday, April 6 th, instead there will be a Meet and Greet with Pastor Lutz at 5:00PM.

2 A Message from the Council President The council is happy to announce that the call committee has brought forth a pastoral candidate. His name is Pastor Paul Lutz. Pastor Paul was brought to council by the call committee some weeks ago. After interviewing the Pastor the council voted to move forth with the call process. A compensation package was put together and the process has moved on to the next stage. So mark your calendars. Your first opportunity to meet the Pastor and his wife will be on April 6 th at 5:00PM at Prince of Peace. The council will be hosting a meet and greet for Pastor Lutz and his wife to meet members of the congregation. We will have refreshments and I'm sure a cake is involved. On Sunday April 7 th, there will be one service at 9:30AM. Pastor Lutz will preach to the congregation and the congregation will vote on calling the new Pastor. Very exciting times indeed. You must attend the 9:30AM service if you want the opportunity to vote. Everyone is welcome to attend the congregational meeting, but only members of the church are allowed to vote. Please come be apart of this exciting time at Prince of Peace. Feel free to bring your questions for the Pastor. The council looks forward to answering any questions you may have about the process. This will be a great experience for us all. I'd like to thank all the council members and the call committee members for all their hard work. 6 A Church-wide event between Palm Sunday services April 14 th (9:15-10:45am) On the way to the Cross, Jesus made many personal detours to show us the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus made it personal for you and me by paying our price and offering us eternal life. Will you let the story of the cross go in one ear and out the other when it comes to the claims of Christ and what he did for you? Or - will you make it personal? Everyone is invited on Palm Sunday to take the 13-station self-guided journey and personally connect with the events of Holy Week. The event is suitable for all ages and parents should stay with their children.

7 Easter Garden 2019 If you would like to contribute a plant(s), please indicate below. The plants may be picked up after the 11:00 a.m. service on Easter Sunday. Those plants not picked up will be planted at the Prince of Peace Cemetery. Please put this form, along with your check, in Rene s (church secretary) mailbox or mail it to Prince of Peace (P.O. Box 5184, Brookfield, CT 06804). If you don t want to purchase an Easter plant, you can make a donation to the Love Fund in honor of or in memory of someone, The Love Fund is the pastor s discretionary fund, used to help church members and other local people facing a financial crisis.
