4 SAINT PAUL SCHOOL NEWS The school campus came alive the morning of Wednesday, August 16, the first day of the new school year. Students, from pre K 3 through 8th grade, came dressed in their uniforms, carrying their backpack, and ready to learn. Many paused for photos under the balloon arch before heading to their classes, some holding posters with the theme: My goal: College and Heaven. WE HAVE AN APP FOR THAT! Need for Catechists and Aides As we approach the beginning of our Faith Forma on Year together, we are asking for volunteers to help as Catechists and Aides. Please pray that you or others in our church community will be prompted by the Holy Spirit to volunteer to serve in this most important ministry. Our goal is to have teams of catechists in order to work with everyone s schedules. Please contact Joy Harsen at with ques ons and/or to volunteer. There will be registra on a er all masses the weekends of September 2-3 and September 9-10 Registra on forms are at the four entrances to the church. If your child(ren) were in the Faith Forma on Program last year, you will receive revised registra on forms for this year in the mail. The Deanery Mass in celebra on of our new Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral will take place on Monday, October 9, 2017 All of the parishes in this area our Deanery Morehead City to Jacksonville to New Bern, plus Washington and Swansboro and Oriental and Havelock are invited to par cipate in this special opportunity to share the joy of the Diocese in the Dedica on of the new Cathedral. The parish will be sponsoring a Saint Paul bus for $30.00 each seat to make the trip more convenient and enjoyable for you. The Mass will begin at 12 Noon and the bus trip will extend from 8am to 6pm, including all travel me and plenty of me for touring the Cathedral. Details for lunch are s ll being arranged.
