The Ad Hoc Committee appointed by the Pastoral Council to look into the purchase of the Jansen Avenue School for a parish center-church, religious education, parish hall and priest residence is looking for people with expertise in Engineering, Building Trades, Finance, Fund Raising and Public Relations, to aid in the exploration of this idea. If you have experience in these areas and are willing to help your parish, please call the Church Office at and leave your name and contact number. A member of the committee will call you. The Special Advent Edition of Growing in Faith publication is available in our Church. Please be sure to pick up a copy. Thanksgiving Day Mass will be celebrated, 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 25 th, at Holy Trinity Church. Please join us for a small reception following Mass in the Faith Formation Center. Catholic Campaign for Human Development November 20th & November 21st Today, we take up a collection that helps fight poverty at its roots. For 40 years, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) has provided funding for groups that make lasting change and lift up the poor in the United States. The Collection has helped secure funding for low-income day care centers, legal advocacy to enforce fair wages, programs that emphasize education, and affordable housing in lowincome neighborhoods. We will provide pizza and beverages for lunch. It is not necessary for parents to attend; there will be plenty of supervision. If you are interested in signing your child up for this wonderful event, please call the office before December 2, Thank you! - The Ninth Grade Class. Cudos and cheers to Roz Melita and all of The Good Time Players for another evening of fun and laughter. A good time was again had by all. As always, we have to thank all of our Rosarians who did the baking and worked in the kitchen. We received many compliments on the quality and variety of desserts we offered. The Holy Trinity Rosary Society is planning it's Annual Christmas Party on Sunday, December 5th at the Holiday Inn, Johnstown. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. and we will have our optional $10.00 grab bag as usual. Entertainment will be provided by the Durey Creek Gospel Band. Sign-up sheets with menu selections and prices are at both entrances to church. Reservations are needed by Saturday, November 29th. Hope you will plan on joining us!

3 NOVEMBER 21, 2010 CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK Our bus trip to New York City has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 29, Bus will leave the Immaculate Conception Hall parking lot at 7:00 a.m. sharp. When we get to NYC we will be dropped off at Bryant Park. You have the rest of the day to do whatever you choose. All passengers will need to return to Bryant Park at 6:45 p.m. We should return to Immaculate Conception parking lot between 10:30-11:00 p.m. Cost is $35.00 per person. Anyone under the age of 16, must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations and non-refundable payments is due by Friday, December 17 th. Please be sure to pick up our copy of the workbook. Holy Trinity Parish will participate this year in Presents for Prison a Christmas project to families of inmates of Hale Creek. These gifts are to be new and unwrapped. Any toys from tots to teens are acceptable, including hats, gloves, etc. You may place your gift in the box provided in the church or you may drop them off at the Pastoral Center. Your generous gift/s are greatly appreciated by these families.

4 NOVEMBER 21, 2010 Christmas Flowers and Decorations Donations We are accepting donations for Christmas decorations and memorial flowers in memory of your loved ones. Your donations will be used to help decorate the altar, church doors, and inside and outside of the church. If you receive Parish envelopes, you will find an additional envelope for Christmas Flowers. Please use this envelope for your donations. If you are not in the envelope system please use an envelope clearly marked Christmas Decorations and Flower Donations. Please include on all envelopes the name of the person your donation is in memory of, and sign your name, as you would like it to appear on our donations list. If you use a regular envelope, please include your Parish Envelope number. You may place your envelope in any of the collection baskets at the weekend masses, or you may drop them off at the Pastoral Office weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The deadline for your donations to appear in our booklet will be Monday, December 13 th. Any donation received after that date will be acknowledged in the bulletin after the Christmas Season. Thank you.
