4 Please welcome our new Music Coordinator: Taylor Kendig Taylor, a graduate of Central Catholic, with a music degree from the University of Portland, comes with a wealth of musical knowledge and is very excited to be a part of our parish community. We look forward to supporting Taylor in her new ministry! CHRIST S BODY, OUR BODY When we gather for Eucharist we gather in the name of Jesus, who is calling us together to remember his death and resurrection in the breaking of the bread. There he is truly among us. Where two or three meet in my name, he says, I am there among them (Matthew 18:20). The presence of Jesus among us and in the gifts of bread and wine are the same presence. As we recognize him also in our brothers and sisters. As we give one another the bread saying: This is the body of Christ, we give ourselves to each other saying: We are the Body of Christ. It is one in the same giving, it is one and the same body, it is one and the same Christ. Reflection How has receiving the Eucharist in community nurtured your faith? Soups Around the World October 28, pm Calling for Wine Donations. Value of the Wine must be at least $15. We are also looking for Theme Dinners, such as Mexican Dinner, Martini Party, Gourmet Dinners or anything else you would like to offer. Consider putting together a Raffle Basket; get a friend to work with you on the basket. There are lots of things you could do, such as a Chocolate Basket, Wine Basket, Valentine Basket, Holiday Basket, or a Movie Basket. We also need volunteers to help, please see the sign-up sheets at either church doors. If you need ideas contact Deanna Nibler at call or text or dsnibler@msn.com.
