Next week we will celebrate August Birthdays!! Our 2018 Fuel Collection begins this month. As we did last year, we will have four collections, one each month for July, August, September, and November. Envelopes for your Fuel offering are included along with your regular budget envelopes. This method helps to greatly reduce the cost of our collection and has worked very well for us. At the end of our Fuel Collection drive we will have a drawing using the returned envelopes. We will pick one $100 winner and two $50 winners. The funds collected helps to pay the fuel bills for the winter, as well as, the many repairs needed throughout the year to keep our aging boilers in good running condition. I am very appreciative of the sacrifice parishioners have made in past years and ask that you prayerfully consider helping the parish again for this winter. God Bless, Fr. New Alter Servers Needed: Father Jacek can use a few more alter servers. Children who have received their First Holy Communion and are interested in being trained as an altar server should speak to Father Jacek.

3 Sunday July 29, 2018 Seventeenth Sunday of Ordinary Father Jacek s Catholic Trivia for Kids Throughout the summer Father Jacek has been publishing questions about the Catholic Faith for the children of the parish to answer and in turn have a chance to win a prize. So far we have had many winners. Children are encouraged to write the answer and their name on the slip provided in the bulletin. They should then hand in their answers to Father Jacek the following week at the end of Mass. All responses will be entered into a drawing to win a prize. P.S. It s ok to ask your parents for help :) This week s question is: When did the Apostles receive the Holy Spirit? Wedding Anniversary Celebration The Diocese of Providence cordially invites you and your spouse to celebrate your 25th, 40th, 50th, or Over 50 Wedding Anniversary on Sunday, September 23, :00pm at the Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul Providence. The celebration includes Mass, renewal of wedding vows, a personalized certificate & a reception for you and your guests. The Shrine of the Little Flower 35 Dion Drive, Nasonville RI Catholic young adults, join us for Theology on Fire at The Shrine of The Little Flower!! Reverend Ryan Simas will give a lecture and lead a discussion for Catholic young adults around a camp fire in a field of the Shrine of the Little flower. The lecture/ discussion begins at 7:30 and will go to around 8:30. From there all will walk to the outdoor church for a half hour of adoration and the recitation of the Rosary. Join us for Pizza afterwards in the Church hall! Come ride the roller coasters with Father Jacek!! Get ready children and teens!!! This year we are going to go to Canobie Lake Park in NH on August 13 th. We will leave the OLC Church parking lot at 9am and plan to return around 7pm. Permission slips and adult waiver forms are in the back of the Churches. The cost of this field trip is $ We will have pizza and snacks on the bus ride up and back so the children will not have to pay for lunch in the park. Also, Father Jacek will treat the children to ice-cream in the afternoon. Anyone who would like to sponsor a child for the day may put their donation in an envelope marked, Canobie Lake sponsor and place it in the collection basket or drop off at the rectory. In the past, parishioners have helped many children enjoy this fun day with Father Jacek.
