A Nursery for ages 6 weeks to 3 years is available in the Church Nursery and PK-4 Room at the school. The nursery is available during Bible classes, 10:30, and 10:45 worship services. Children s Bulletins are also available as well as worship bags. An usher can help give directions to the nursery, give children's bulletins or get a worship bag. Youth Ministry Highlights August 9, 2015 Old Soldiers Reunion Parade: Our rising Pre Teens and Jr. Youth will be handing out brochures and walking beside Concordia s mini bus this year on Thursday, August 20th. We line up at 4:00pm. Wear your red Servant for Christ t-shirt! National Night Out Thanks to those who helped us hand our popsicles and info cards last Tuesday. Welcome Vicar Pool Party: Thanks for helping us welcome Vicar Jim and his wife, Shauna. 70 of us gathered last Wednesday at Conover Pool for a relaxed time of food, fellowship, prayer and introductions! Sr. Youth Summer Mission Trip to Roanoke, VA! Check out the pictures of the work we did on the transept TV! Youth Ministry Vision Statement: We exist to love and lead our young people to Christ! SOS Kick-Off Night is August 26th: Our Sr. Youth Council has met to start planning for our SOS Kick-off Night. We have some fun games planned. Today is the last day to collect supplies for the Back to School Bash to be held at Newton-Conover High School Baseball Field on August 15 th. Supplies will be distributed to students free of charge. Collection bins are located near the entrances to all services. Concordia s volunteer day at ECCCM is the August 12 th. Shifts are 9am-noon and 1-4pm. You can work in the grocery area or the in the thrift store. Training is available when you arrive. Please let Sandi Chi know if you are willing to help by contacting her at or sandychi@charter.net. This afternoon, the entire Church and School Staff will be travelling to a retreat center for two days for team building and training. The Church Office will be closed on Monday, August 10 th since the staff will be on retreat. CCDS is interviewing for Before & After School positions. These words, Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins, show us that in the Sacrament forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation are given us through these words. These words, along with the bodily eating and drinking, are the main thing in the Sacrament. Anyone who has questions is invited to speak to the pastor or elder before communing. The cups in the center of the tray are filled with a white non-alcoholic wine and gluten free wafers are available for those with allergies.
