A Nursery for ages 6 weeks to 3 years is available in the Church Nursery and PK-4 Room at the school. The nursery is available during Bible classes, 10:30am, and 10:45am worship services. Children s Bulletins are also available as well as worship bags. An usher can help give directions to the nursery, give children's bulletins or get a worship bag. 5 The Voters Meeting is today at 2pm. An added order of business is the recommendation of a Principal for our school from the Principal Search Committee. Please plan to attend. The VBS bulletin boards are up! If you can supply any of the items needed, pull off the tag, donate the item needed, and return to the church no later than June 5 th. Ten pop up tents (borrowed) are needed for the Egypt Marketplace. Come help with crafts, decorations and costumes each Wednesday and Thursday morning 9am-12pm in the First Grade Sunday School classroom. Please contact Belinda Bost with any questions at UNIVERSITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION MEETING: This year's UCHS Association Meeting will be held on Thursday, June 16, at 6:30 pm in Room 213 in Lenoir-Rhyne's McCrorie Building. All members of our association churches are welcome to attend. PrimeTimers: On Monday, June 13th we are going to Lexington, NC. Travel will be by our church bus and departure will be from the 'Horseshoe' at 8:45 a.m. We have a private tour of the Childress Winery set for 11:00 am. The tour will take approximately 45 minutes which will allow time for visiting some specialty shops on the grounds. In order to have the private tour, a minimum of 20 participants is required. Cost for the tour is $5.00 per person which can be paid on the day of departure. Following the tour we will go to downtown Lexington for a 'dutch-treat' bar-b-que lunch or some other preferred menu item. As we leave town, we expect to have time to visit the art gallery of North Carolina's most famous artist - Bob Timberlake. We estimate return to the church between 5 and 5:30 p.m. Make plans to attend--invite a friend--always remembering that 'the more the merrier'! If there is a day/time not on the calendar that a group of you would like to come and volunteer, please contact Christine so that we can work with your schedule. Since 2010, we have harvested and delivered over 18,000 pounds of fresh vegetables and fruit to Hickory Soup Kitchen, ECCCM, Meals-On-Wheels, and other individuals/families in need of nutritional food. These words, Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins, show us that in the Sacrament forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation are given us through these words. These words, along with the bodily eating and drinking, are the main thing in the Sacrament. Anyone who has questions is invited to speak to the pastor or elder before communing. The cups in the center of the tray are filled with a white non-alcoholic wine and gluten free wafers are available for those with allergies.
