Guests and Members are encouraged to write their names in the Welcome to Worship folders at the end of the pews so that we can better know you by name, and more faithfully serve you. Today we recognize our LLL (Lutheran Layman s League) and commission our Sr. Youth as they prepare to leave for the Mid-Winter Youth Gathering. Children are loved at Concordia. A staffed Nursery for ages 6 weeks to 3 years is available in the Church Nursery and PK-4 Room at the school. The nursery is available during Bible classes, 10:30, and 10:45 worship services. Children s Bulletins are also available as well as worship bags. An usher can help give directions to the nursery, give children's bulletins or get a worship bag. Youth Ministry Highlights February 15, 2015 Youth Quake in Charlotte, NC is April 10-12, 2015! *Thank you to those members who made donations to support our youth with Mid-Winter Scholarships!* Pre-Teen Youth Outing is TODAY: We are going to Hickory Dickory Dock (HDD) today from 5-8pm. The group cost per person is only $10.00 (when we have a group of 15 or more). This price includes laser tag, bumper cars, 25 coins, 2 pieces of pizza and drink. Invite your friends! The cups in the center of the tray are filled with a white non-alcoholic wine and gluten free wafers are available for those with allergies.

You are encouraged to join in this celebration by becoming a sponsoring partner of the Lutheran Hour Ministries. Enclosed in last week s Highlights was an invitation and an envelope to become a sponsoring partner. Please pray for the Holy Spirit s guidance in this celebration. You may put your gift of any amount in the envelope and place it in the offering plate over the next several weeks. Thank you. David L. Isenhower, LHM Ambassador The annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is this coming Tuesday, February 17 th. Join us as we prepare for the coming of the Lenten and Easter season. The supper begins at 6pm in the Family Life Center and is hosted by Concordia s Youth Ministry. ECCCM has an urgent need for the following items: deodorant, soap, shampoo, tissues, toothbrushes and feminine products. Place your donation under the ECCCM Trees so we can help fill this urgent need in our community. Thank you, Board of Mission and Ministry. On Feb 17th, from 1-4 PM, the local inter-agency coalition of child care providers (Public Health, Catawba County Schools & CDSA) will host a screening clinic for children ages 0-5. Hearing, Vision and Developmental assessments will be made by appropriate professionals, equipping parents to better care for their child. It is titled Frozen Family Fair. Free and held at Conover Station, balloons marking street sign to ID building help guide parents and child(ren) to correct door. Snow date Feb. 24 th. St. John's Lutheran Church last year created a Disaster Response Team that could quickly deploy to the scene of a natural or man-made disaster. We have a team of about twenty trained members, but would like to increase the number of trained responders by opening up the group to members of other congregations. Anyone who might be interested in helping with this type of ministry is asked to meet on Saturday, February 28th, at 7:30 a.m. at Billy's BBQ on Hwy 70 in Conover. For more information, please contact Doug Travis at (home) or (cell). The Hearts for Jesus campaign for building a school in Uganda is supported by the entire SED LCMS. There are 218 churches, 89 schools and 45 missions located in the district all supporting the Hearts for Jesus program. CCDS is supporting the Ugandan School with its offerings in February. The Singing Saints Concert Choir from St. Paul Lutheran High School in Concordia, Missouri will be performing at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont on Monday, March 2 nd at 7pm. Do you know that there are many ladies and men in the congregation that bake cakes on a weekly basis for The Corner Table? The cakes are delivered Monday through Thursday every week all year long! Supplies are provided by The Corner Table. Thank you for your service to our community. Concordia received a hand written Thank You letter from Rev.
