Please pass the folders on the end of each pew so everyone can register their attendance here today. Children are loved at Concordia. A staffed Nursery for ages 6 weeks to 3 years is available in the Church Nursery and PK-4 Room at the school. The nursery is available during Bible classes, 10:30, and 10:45 worship services. Children s Bulletins are also available as well as worship bags. An usher can help give directions to the nursery, give children's bulletins or get a worship bag. Next Saturday, Nov. 8 th, our Jr. and Sr. Youth will be serving at the Redhead Run for Ocular Melanoma in Newton. Communion: In the Lord s Supper, Jesus offers the faithful His true body and blood to eat and drink. These words, Given and shed for you for the forgiveness of sins, show us that in the Sacrament forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation are given us through these words. These words, along with the bodily eating and drinking, are the main thing in the Sacrament. Anyone who has questions is invited to speak to the pastor or elder before communing. The cups in the center of the tray are filled with a white non-alcoholic wine and gluten free wafers are available for those with allergies.

6 Packets for the Voter s Meeting on Sunday, November 9 th are available to be picked up in the Narthex at the 8 & 10:30 services and on the table at the entrance to the Praise Service. On Monday, November 10, the Concordia Prime Timers will have its regular covered dish luncheon at 11:30 AM followed by entertainment from a local group. Sign-up sheets will be available for those planning to attend the December outing to the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Christmas lights show. Please join us for good food, fun and fellowship. Project Warmth: Start collecting now to help our neighbors stay warm. Coats, Gloves, Caps, Scarves and Blankets will be collected and donated to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army will then distribute these items to Catawba County Schools, Hickory City Schools and Newton-Conover City Schools. Items will be collected through November 16 th. Place your items in the boxes near the church entrances marked for Project Warmth. Have you ever considered becoming a pastor or deaconess? If so, Rev. Bill Wrede from Concordia, St. Louis would like to meet with you! DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS MONDAY, NOVEMBER 17, Our November 5 th Sunday offering will benefit the Highways and Hedges program that is new to Conover. Highways and Hedges is a program offering assistance to the homeless and needy in Catawba County. They provide a hot meal, a time of Bible study and prayer, food, clothing, toiletries, and other supplies to those in need twice per month. The goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need within our local community. Veterans Day at Concordia: Concordia will be hosting the Community Veteran s Day Recognition on Tuesday, November 11 th, 6:30 p.m. in the main sanctuary. Various leaders and clergy of the community will be participating. Concordia member, Corey Christians, CMSgt, USAF, Ret. will be sharing words of thanks to the Veterans.
