People: Like a cloud of many witnesses They stand around us. Leader: Full of courage and trust they went to new places, ready to stand and suffer with you. We thank you for the members of the church that dwell now with you. 8 Leader: Let us become a church People: Seeking justice, loving mercy and walking humbly with our Lord; Which witnesses to the community and to the world by sharing our relationship with our Lord and Savior; Which spends time in prayer listening for God s will for our individual lives and for our church; Nurturing our children to be disciples of Jesus Christ, obeying His word and showing his love. Leader: And finally, People: Let us become a people of God called to be a familyopen, caring family of faith-where all are embraced, accepted and affirmed. The Offering Stewardship is about making choices, as individuals and in community. It is more than giving money to the church. Stewardship is about being faithful disciples, caring for and managing all that God has given us. *Doxology Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him, all creatures here below. Parents are invited to sign-up in the nursery to come in and do an activity such as a song, read a book or other activity with the older nursery children.

12 If you have not done so, please fill out new sign up forms for Sunday School, so that we have all your CORRECT info. Children should follow Mrs. Kolecki out after the Children s Sermon. Last week we watched a Veggie Tales Movie about Joseph and how he kept his faith even when facing hardship. This week we will be talking again about Job, this time we will discuss how we are all part of God s big world. You may pick your children up in Calvin Hall after service. This week the children will be given Trick or Treat for Unicef boxes to collect money while trick or treating. If you would like an extra box, please see Mrs. Kolecki. We will be breaking the classes down differently this year. We will have a pre-reader group that will be Preschool Kindergarten, the name for that group will be the Sheep. Our next group will be 1 st and 2 nd grade that group will be know as the Shepherds, and oldest group for Sunday School will be 3 rd 5 th grade, will be known as the Disciples. Please see Gretchen Kolecki, Director of Christian Education to sign up to teach/help with the Sunday School Program. There also is a sign-up sheet outside the Director of Christian Ed. s door. 13 Up coming events: Tonight the Youth Group will attend the Martin Luther King Jr. Service at 6:30-7:30 pm. Breakfast Club - Today, Sunday October 20, Students in 6, 7 & 8 th grades will come out of service when the Sunday School children do and go to the Bells Room to have bible study and snacks with Richard Ayler the Seminary intern. Breakfast club will meet on the 3 rd Sunday of each month. Confirmation students are encouraged to attend. October 24, 2013 from 8am-9pm is our Pop Shop Fundraiser. 15% of ALL orders that mention they are with the Collingswood Presbyterian Youth Group will be donated and will help raise funds for the mission trip and retreats. Anyone can attend throughout the day, just remember to bring the flyer at the end of this bulletin and say you are supporting the CPC Youth Group. November 23, 24 & 25, 2013 is the Senior High Johnsonburg retreat. The cost is $99. $50 is due NOW. Checks should be made out to CPC. December 6, 7 & 8, 2013 is the Junior High Johnsonburg retreat. 17 CROP Walk Update... Session Highlights The session was delighted to interview and approve nominees for Elder Mike Amato and Deacon Karen Mazak to fill unexpired two year terms. These nominees will be presented to the congregation at its meeting on October 27, 2013 The newly redecorated Lounge will be dedicated to the Glory of God and in memory of the parents of Bob Marks on Sunday October 27 immediately following church. We will begin our 2014 stewardship campaign with a Harvest Home Luncheon on October 27 following the lounge dedication. Please sign up in the narthex and bring desserts. In Christian Education the Adult Bible study, the confirmation class of 3 students and youth group all have begun this month with great success. Sunday School continues to grow with new students attending. The youth group will attend Two retreats this fall at Johnsonburg Camp. Senior high group will go in November and middle school kids will attend Dec 5-7. The Chase Fund subsidizes these trips by paying for vans and chaperones. Thanks to those who walked on the CROP walk on Oct. 6th. We raised over $3000, and more money is coming in. It s not too late to donate! Make your check payable to CWS - CROP. Special thanks to June Lattimore, Lorraine Brown, and Lorrie Heuser for making our lunch to fortify the walkers. We looked like an outstanding RED team! One special note was the side trip to the Collingswood Manor where residents were ROCKING away HUNGER in their chairs on the porch and cheered us on!
