You give them to us for a such a short time, and we pray that we have shown them who you are, by our words, deeds and actions. Now they confirm their faith and go on their own journey with you we pray you bless and keep them forever. Amen. 4 Call to Worship Leader: The hour has come to worship our God: People: to gather together as people of faith, to glorify the God of all grace. Leader: The time has come to devote ourselves to prayer: People: to bring the burdens we carry, to lift our hopes to the God who hears us. Leader: The hour has come to rejoice and make God's name known: People: to lift a song of thanksgiving, to praise God for all our blessings. *Hymn - The Church s One Foundation GTG #321 *Call to Reconciliation Leader: When we look to God in prayer, are we looking for condemnation and punishment? Or do we look for the One who promises to forgive us and make us new? Let us pray to God for mercy, as we offer our confessions, saying, *Unison Prayer of Confession All: Silence is kept We cannot put it off any longer, Gracious God, it is time to confess our unfaithfulness. Our appetites for all things threaten to devour us like hungry animals. We are reluctant to humble ourselves to serve others, believing we are special. We are afraid to share in the sufferings of children, the hurting ones, the lonely and the oppressed. Forgive us, Voice of Mercy and Hope. Bless us with grace and life, so we might rejoice in your love, tell of your faithfulness, and join Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, in making you known to all people.

Killebrew RESPONSE TO THE WORD *Litany of Faith (Brief Catechism of the PCUSA) Leader: Who are you? People: I am a child of God. Leader: What does it mean to be a child of God? People: That I belong to God, who loves me. Leader: What makes you a child of God? People: Grace - God s free gift of love that I do not deserve and cannot earn.

7 Leader: Don t you have to be good for God to love you? People: No. God loves me in spite of all I do wrong. Leader: How do you thank God for this gift of love? People: I promise to love and trust God with all my heart. Leader: How do you love God? People: By worshiping God, by loving others, and by respecting what God has created. Leader: What did God create? People: God created all that is, seen and unseen. Leader: What is special about human beings? People: God made us, male and female, in the image of God. Leader: What does it mean that we are made in God s image? People: It means we are made to reflect God s goodness, wisdom, and love. Offering I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. 12 Last week in Sunday School we made crafts to be used to decorate for Pentecost/Youth Sunday. Special thanks Stephanie Hirt, Meg Standring and Urmila Maldvakar for helping last minute. This week the Children will remain in service because it is Confirmation Sunday. Up Coming Events: Communion Class is May 29 th at 6:45pm. (For Students in 2 nd grade and above who have not had first communion before.) Practices for Sunday School Song for Youth Sunday on May 25 & June 1 Before Service at 10am. First Communion June 1 st. **Reminder: Youth Sunday is June 8 th, please plan to be here. The Sunday School children will sing a song and will help the Youth Group run Service. Please see Gretchen Kolecki, Director of Christian Education to sign up to teach/help with the Sunday School Program. There is also a sign-up sheet outside the Director of Christian Ed. s door. 13 THERE IS NO YOUTH GROUP TONIGHT. We will be meeting on June 1 st at 6:30-8pm for wrap up of writing the Youth Sunday liturgy and Sermon. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO ATTEND NEXT WEEK. Come share your ideas. Please sign up to bring snack and as a parent helper through the link for SignUp Genius that was ed to all parents or sign up outside the Directors Door on the sheet. We really need your Signed Covenants. If you haven t done so already you must bring them **We still need your Massanetta Springs Deposits. Please send those in ASAP.** Up Coming Events: Youth Sunday will be June 8 th. The Youth will run the Service. Please plan to be here at 9:45 so that we can run through what we are doing. Youth Group Car wash will be Saturday June 7 th from Youth will be selling presale tickets on 5/25, and 6/1 after church. $5 a car $7 for Mini Van or Truck. If you have not done so already, please join our Youth Group Facebook Page: Collingswood Presbyterian Youth Group. It is a good way to keep in touch and up to date on youth group info and activities. Let us know where you are graduating from and what your plans are for after graduation. Leave this information in the church office. Annual Church Service & Picnic Lunch in the park: Sunday, June 22nd at Knight Park in Collingswood. The service starts at 10:00 with lunch immediately following! Pack your picnic lunch and bring a side dish or dessert to share. Look for sign-ups in the Narthex. 15 Session Highlights Will Powell was received as a new member of the church Lorelei Charlotte Powell was baptized on May 11th IHOC hosting event was successful thank you Deacons! Pastor Kate conducted the funerals services for members Elise Hak, Raymond Perry, and Schuehler family relative Charles Richard Penred. Youth Sunday is June 8 th, with recognition of the graduates and goodbye to Seminarian Richard Aylor The newly renovated gym will be dedicated on June 8 th thank you Barry Longmire! The Property Committee is working on Green Initiative proposals to save energy for the church. Service in the Park and the Church Picnic will be on June 22nd at Knight Park Mission & Outreach Committee will be hosting the Coffeehouse again on June 14th. Youth Group car wash fundraiser will be held on June 7th from 9:00-12:00. First Communion Class for Children 2nd grade and above. Thursday, May 29 6:45pm
