All: Praise the Lord! *Hymn - Lord,.I Lift Your Name on High STF #2088 (sing twice) *Prayer of Confession Leader: We like to think we are wise beyond our years, but when we look at our lives as God's people, we discover we still act too often like little children. Let us confess how we always want our way, rather than following God's. ALL: You set boundaries for us, Holy God, yet we continue to cross over them into sin. Believing we are wiser than you, we are amazed that you would question our actions and lives. Offering us the warm sweater of love, we would rather slip our lives into the sleeves of bitterness and anger. Challenging us to carry one another's burdens, we complain about how heavy and uncomfortable they are. Silence is kept. Forgive us, Searching God, and clothe us with your gifts of compassion,.humility,.patience,.and hope. Then, dressed as your grateful people, may we go forth to live as sisters and brothers of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Amen Offering As parents brought their children to the house of the Lord for blessing and dedication, we too, give our greatest gifts to God for divine blessing. Mary and Joseph were parents to a child that continued to surprise them with new gifts of learning, loving and life. May we treasure the surprise of the many gifts God gives us through the children in our lives. 9 Windows To Christ The inspiration and beauty of Collingswood Presbyterian Church s stained glass windows are a testament to God s love of all people. They provide a vivid reminder of God s promise of redemption through the gift of his only son that all who believe will have eternal life. Over the years, many stained glass windows have been installed in the church to the Glory of God. A book was created in 2003 at the church s centennial which portray twenty-four panels, located on each side of the Sanctuary. Each depict significant events in the life of Christ from His Holy Birth to the Virgin Mary; his upbringing as the son of a carpenter; baptism by John the Baptist; his earthly ministry of teaching and healing; suffering under Pontius Pilate; crucifixion; death; rising from the dead; appearing to many persons; and then ascending into Heaven. Accompanying text describes each panel, and Biblical references are included. Twenty-four panels were installed in the 1960s and 1970s. They are antique stained glass designed in the style of the Gothic Revival. It is a period design revived in the nineteenth century. The glass is made by hand, using mouth-blowing techniques. When the glass is still in a molten state in a mental pot, chemicals are introduced to create a particular color. There are streaks, bubbles and striations in the glass and it is not of uniform thickness. The streaks, bubbles and striations break up the light as it passes through and creates vibrant highlights that make the glass sparkle. The varying thickness makes certain areas of the glass deeper and richer in color. On a sunny day, the windows radiate sparking colors that create a worshipful atmosphere.
