2 COLLINGSWOOD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH SERVICE FOR THE LORD S DAY March 11, th Sunday in Lent ASSEMBLE IN GOD S NAME Morning Reflection God of infinite patience, we call on you once more, knowing that you have every reason to question our coming together. We have worshiped without expectation. We have gathered without diligent preparation, as if meeting you laid no requirements on us. Amid the complexities of our lives, we have forgotten to set aside times to be still before you. Sometimes we feel as if we are bitten by snakes all week long, so we assemble here for some relief and healing. O God, will you meet us as we are? Amen Prelude Welcome and Announcements We welcome you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ! Please sign the guest book in the narthex so we can send you a welcome packet or fill out a yellow welcome card located in the pews. The card can be placed in the offering place. It is our privilege to participate in God s wonderful works to humankind, to share the steadfast love that is saving us, and to offer life to those who are perishing. We are glad to have you here and hope you will feel as if you are among family. Children are welcome to remain in the service. There are activity bags and children s bulletins available in the Narthex. Large print bulletins and hymnals are available for your convenience. If you have difficulty hearing, personal amplifiers are available in the narthex. PLEASE BRING THE HEARING AIDS BACK TO THE DEACON OF THE DAY. We also provide a nursery for children infants through age three (3). Our nursery worker is Emilie Jackson. Our Children s Church program for children ages Pre-K through 5 th grade begins following the Children s Sermon. They will return during communion. Thank you for your service! We will do an activity to go along with this lesson. We are still looking for help with Sunday School next week 3/18/18. Please contact Gretchen Kolecki, the Director of Christian Education to help. There will be one meeting time for both groups: 5:30-6:30. We will be having a meal with the IHOC group. If you would like to reserve a special date to dedicate the flowers which are used to decorate the Sanctuary in honor or memory of a loved one, use the book or contact Janis in the church office. 13 Save the dates The IHOC men will be at our church Sunday, 3/11 through Sunday, 3/25 We will be looking for men to help with overnight hosting (Pastor Katie will be staying at the church for 2 two weeks, but we must have one other person present each night). 15 Easter Plants 2018 We will once again be offering Easter plants to be purchased in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one. The plants will be used to decorate our sanctuary on Easter Sunday. At the conclusion of the service you may take your plant with you or you can leave it for the Deacons to distribute to shut-ins. The cost of each plant is $15.00 except for Easter Lilies, which are $14.00 each.
