People: In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Leader: Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another. People: No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. We are glad to have you here and hope you will feel as if you are among family. Children are welcome to remain in the service. There are activity bags and children s bulletins available in the Narthex. Large print bulletins and hymnals are available for your convenience. If you have difficulty hearing, personal amplifiers are available in the narthex. PLEASE BRING THE HEARING AIDS BACK TO THE DEACON OF THE DAY. We also provide a nursery for children infants through age three (3). Our nursery worker is Emilie Jackson. Our Children s Church program for children ages Pre-K through 5 th grade. Youth Group Dates: April 29: Haddon Heights First Presbyterian, Worship Music Night. 4pm-6pm This week we have a special treat at Youth Group. We will be doing a night of music (worship songs) and we will be discussing the meaning of worship. This will take place on Sunday at 4pm-6pm at the Haddon Heights location. Please invite your child and their friends to come to this evening of music! 11 Pedal for Promise, Saturday May 12, 2018 Soon the weather will be warm enough to get your bike out and go for a spin (we promise!) So, you ll be ready to join UrbanPromise in supporting quality, innovative Christian education for Camden s teens by riding in Pedal for Promise on Saturday May 12, This ride is perfect for the whole family from the young novice to the road warrior. It s a 15, 30, 42 mile, or metric century loop through beautiful (and flat) Burlington County. We offer SAG support, well stocked rest stops, and a celebration lunch at the end. For the kids, we will have activities including a bike course and face painting. Visit the UrbanPromise website to register or to support the UrbanPromise Cycling Team. Visit or call UrbanPromise Wellness Center Dinner Tortilla Press, Tuesday May 22, 2018 The Wellness Center brings helpful strategies and a deeper understanding to our staff and children in dealing with trauma and its effects on learning and mental and physical health. The Wellness Center is vital in allowing UrbanPromise children and youth to name their deep hurt and to begin healing and moving forward. On Tuesday, May 22 nd join us for dinner and an evening of fellowship fun at Tortilla Press in Collingswood. Support the work of the Wellness Center in bringing promise to Camden s children. Featuring music of Bernstein and Copland, conducted by Jack Hill The Christian Education Committee is looking for additional members. The committee is currently made up of Gretchen Kolecki and Carol Longmire and we are sure there are others in our church with great ideas and dedication and would love to share them with us.
