4 Call to Worship Leader: Thinking we know all the answers, yet wondering if we haven't missed something: People: we enter this sanctuary of Truth. Leader: In the company of sinners, in cahoots with saints: People: we gather as God's people. ` Leader: Standing by folks of deep, abiding faith; seated with those who stumble through the Kingdom: People: we lift our praise to God. *Hymn: Come Thou Almighty King GTG #2 *Prayer of Confession Leader: It's very simple: all God asks is that we recognize our sin and acknowledge it. And why? When we offer our prayers of confession, God takes them from us and fills our hearts with such an abundance of mercy, we cannot hold it all. Please join me as we pray together, saying, People: God our God: we fill our souls with the empty sounds of our culture, and wonder why we are so empty when we need words of hope, of grace, of comfort. We are careful to follow the prescriptions our doctors give us, yet pay little heed to your hopes for us. We puff out our chests over what good people we are, yet do not notice how our pride trips those who seek to follow Jesus. Forgive us, Holy One, and be gracious to us: astound us with your words, so we may learn your ways; nourish us with your mercy, so we may be filled with life; enter our empty soul, till they overflow with praise for your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. 7 WE RESPOND TO GOD S WORD *Affirmation of Faith - The Nicene Creed We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. Offering We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father; through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and became truly human. For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day, he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. The wealth of many nations has come to us, and we have considered it our due. The needs of the world beckon us to share, and we have turned instead to accumulating more things than we can use. The unsearchable riches of Christ are at our disposal, but we let them go untapped. May our offerings today reflect a new attitude of joy in giving.

Sunday School: Children should follow Mrs. Kolecki out after the Children s Sermon. You may pick your children up in Calvin Hall after service. Nursery is for children aged birth to 3 years old. Our nursery workers are Madeline Almand, Brie Lynch, and Natalie Sperlunto. Parents are invited to sign-up in the nursery to come in and do an activity such as a song, read a book, or other activity with the older nursery children.

11 Sunday School: Last week in Sunday School we watched the Prince of Egypt Movie and discuss what happened. Please ask your children about what we discussed in Sunday School Today in Sunday School we will be discussing prayer, and how to make our own prayers. We will also make a craft to help us remember ways to pray. Please ask your children about what we discussed in Sunday School Children in 2 nd grade and above will stay in service for Communion Sunday. We are in need of Sunday School Helpers. Please see Mrs. Kolecki if you would like to help. Dates available are: 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 2/29.. Youth: There is NO Youth Group this week. But, please get your $25 and T-shirt sizes to Mrs. Kolecki asap. After service today we will be in the back of the church collecting canned goods for the Souper Bowl. We will also be collecting jeans for the Teens for Jeans campaign again this year. Please bring in any sized used, still wearable jeans. They will go to teens and others in homeless shelters. Please have your jeans in by 2/12/15 Please, go on to the Collingswood Presbyterian Youth Group Facebook page to see the pictures of our individual reasons why we are here. This week we will decide why we are here as a youth group and what our mission is. Please sign up to bring snack and as a parent helper through the link for Sign Up Genius that was ed to all parents. 12 2015 Flower Dedications February 22, March 1, are still available for flower dedications. Please sign up! If you would like to reserve a special date to dedicate the flowers which are used to decorate the Sanctuary in honor or memory of a loved one, use the book or contact Janis in the church office. The cost is $20. Please make checks payable to: Collingswood Presbyterian Church. The choir is rehearsing on Sundays now! To help make it easier for new people to join, we are rehearsing from 9-10 am before the service. You do not need to read music to be a part, only a love of singing Gods Word! In addition, a singing technique class will be run on Thursdays in the Bell room from 7:30 to 8:30. This class is open to anyone and you do not need to belong to the choir. When we take relationships for granted, we look around and suddenly they are gone. Spend some time this Lent and make your relationship with your spouse stronger.
