When you could remain silent for all time, you whisper your hopes to us in every moment. When you could remain on the pinnacle of our praises, you enter the depths of our shadowed lives. 4 Call to Worship Leader: On glory's mountaintops of wonder and delight, we wait: People: for God's amazing grace to transform our shadowed lives. Leader: In the valleys of everyday life, where noise overwhelms us, we wait: People: willing to waste time simply being in God's presence. Leader: In the devouring fires of fear, in the mist of misguided living, we wait, People: for the One who comes in majesty, to lead us down the paths of humility. *Hymn - We Have Come at Christ s Own Bidding STF #2103 *Prayer of Confession (unison) Leader: Sometimes it seems that we wait for God to astound us with mighty wonders, while God knows that what we need is grace. God waits to forgive us, so let us hold nothing back, but trust in the One who listens to our prayers and answers us with mercy, ALL: God of mountaintops, the din of the world can harden our hearts to your Word. We watch news, reality TV, silly sitcoms, yet have trouble bearing witness to your presence in our lives. Our faith is placed in those who fail us, our trust is given to those who misplace it. Silent prayers may be offered Forgive us, Revealer of Mystery. You offer mercy to us, that we might hear your call to discipleship. You whisper our names, that we might know how loved we are. Caught by the surprise of your never ending love for us, how can we not follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, onto the mountaintops of worship and into the valleys of sacrifice and service.

Killebrew RESPONSE TO THE WORD *Affirmation of Faith - Brief Statement of Faith We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God. Jesus proclaimed the reign of God: preaching good news to the poor and release to the captives, teaching by word and deed and blessing the children, healing the sick and binding up the brokenhearted, eating with outcasts, forgiving sinners, and calling all to repent and believe the gospel. Unjustly condemned for blasphemy and sedition, Jesus was crucified, suffering the depths of human pain and giving his life for the sins of the world. God raised this Jesus from the dead, vindicating his sinless life, breaking the power of sin and evil, delivering us from death to life eternal. Offering Lord magnify our perception with purest light that shines And recast our life s intentions to the shape of your design. 10 There will be NO Sunday School in August. New this coming fall will be a pre readers Sunday School Class for children aged 3 - Kindergarten. The other classes will be 1 st & 2 nd Grade and then 3 rd -5 th grade. RALLY DAY SEPTEMBER 15 If you are interested in helping with the Sunday School Program, Please See Gretchen Kolecki, Director of Christian Education. Have a safe summer! There will be a Parent Meeting on August 27, at 7:00 pm to plan trips and fundraisers for the upcoming school year. 11 Deacons School Supply Collection THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO COLLECT ITEMS FOR THE BACK PACKS! This year, no back packs are needed. Just buy some supplies and bring them to church and add them to the collection table. The Deacons will fill the back packs that we have making sure each back pack has everything the student will need. Below is a list of supplies needed. If everyone can bring a little, together we can help a lot. Please help. Thank you, Your Deacons If you forgot your donations today, please contact Lorrie Heuser during the week.

12 Session Highlights Community celebration of the 50th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Kings, Jr. s I Have a Dream speech. The event will be held on October 20, at 6:30 pm. Task Force to be assembled for non-profit funds generation for the church. Lounge Renovations are ongoing. Plumbing and electrical work are pending. We hope to dedicate the room in October Collingwood Cooperative Preschool will be using the church on Thursday mornings. Contact Melissa Corso for additional information. Coffee House to be hosted on October 12, use Calvin Hall for event. A partnership with Haddon Heights and Audubon Presbyterian Churches. Voted to accept new member Jennifer Giordano. New members will be received on Sunday, Sept. 29. Regretfully we accepted the resignation of Mark Standring from the Session. Approved the use of our building for the IHOC Homeless Hospitality Program - April 20 - May 4

Save the Date to Save a Life Blood Drive October, 26 th Consider purchasing a brick for the Memorial Garden. We offer the opportunity for family members to remember loved ones who have died, wherever they may be buried, by engraving a paving brick with the name of the deceased. The engraved brick will be installed by the church in the Memorial Garden. The forms area available on the table in the Narthex Please plan to attend our Remember the Saints Service on October 20 when we will gather in the Memorial Garden and speak the names of those who have joined the Church Triumphant.
