If you have questions contact Vicki at the Parish Office at , ext STEWARDSHIP THOUGHT Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time "If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me" (Luke 9:23) We are not very good at "denying ourselves" in our society. Our current economic situation is evidence of what happens when people think they can have everything they want. Jesus calls us to set out own personal "wants" aside so that we have the resources to follow Him instead. 2 IT S THAT TIME OF YEAR ELECTION/SELECTION The Holy Spirit may be calling You to consider being a Member of our Parish Leadership Team! Trustee/Secretary is a corporate officer and attends the Parish Pastoral Council Meetings and is consulted in all major decisions of the Parish. The Finance Council is in need of a member with business or accounting experience to offer insights and direction to the team. The Parish Pastoral Council is in need of at least two new members to represent all of our members and the best interest of the parish as we move further into the 21 st century. The Grace Board of Trustees is in need of a member from Nativity Parish. Do you see the great value of Catholic day school education? This is a chance to mold the foundation of the Grace System. In its infancy the system needs solid direction, especially in the financial areas. If interested in any of these positions call the Parish Office at BISHOP'S APPEAL Our Bishop s Appeal goal is.. $ 82, parishioners have donated.. $ 81, Amount needed to reach our goal. $ 1, For more information on how to give to the Bishop's Appeal, contact the Parish Office, visit the Bishop's Appeal website at or call Debbie toll-free at , ext Thank you for your support of the Bishop s Appeal. SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK Will be offered on June 30th after the 8:30 AM Mass. This sacrament is offered to anyone in need of Christ s healing touch. The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament for those who are in need of physical, emotional, or spiritual healing. Think of friends and loved ones who may want to receive this sacrament and invite them to this Mass. NURSING HOME MINISTRY Our brothers and sisters at Woodside Lutheran and San Luis Manor Nursing Homes long to receive our Lord in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Bringing our Lord to our brothers and sisters who are confined is a ministry that we need to strengthen and continue at Nativity Parish, especially at Woodside Lutheran and San Luis Manor Nursing Homes. We are in desperate need of people to be trained for this ministry because our current ministers are ill or have been serving week after week for many years. Will you consider serving our brothers and sisters who live in these nursing homes in this special way? If interested contact Wayne Efferson, Worship Director, at , ext. 206, or natwe@nativityparish.com for more information.

Please make check payable to Nativity Parish and note "Tower Builder" in the memo. Please list the exact wording you want on the plaque. Thank you.
