E6 CATHOLIC MEN S CONFERENCE All Saints Parish, in association with the Batesville Deanery, is hosting its 2nd annual E6 Catholic Men s Conference on March 4th, 2017, at the East Central High School Performing Arts Center in St. Leon. The conference will be held from 8:00am to 4:00pm with an optional breakout session immediately following close of the conference with Dr. Ray Guarendi for those interested in attending. Our speaker lineup this year includes: Patrick Madrid, he will be giving his talk entitled Turn Away From Childish Things and Become the Man Christ Wants You to Be ; Anthony Munoz, he will talk on encouraging men to grow in their lives mentally, physically and spiritually; and Dr. Ray Guarendi, clinical psychologist, world renowned author, speaker, and national radio and television host. The E6 Catholic Men s Conference is designed to bring men into a deeper relationship with Christ and His Catholic Church through: a worthy celebration of the sacraments, engaging talks to strengthen their faith, opportunities for true fraternity and exposure to good resources to aid them in living their faith as disciples of Christ. In a world that is losing a truly biblical understanding of masculinity, fatherhood and brotherhood, this conference aims at equipping men to put on the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand as men of Christ. Prayer needs are addressed in two ways at St. Louis. In the vestibule of church is a Prayer Request Notebook where anyone, at any time, can write prayer concerns. The Members of the Prayer and Praise Ministry commit to praying daily for these intentions. For more urgent prayer needs (illness, surgery, etc.) there is a Prayer Chain that will get dozens of people praying immediately. That all those who are suffering distress after the holidays and during the winter months may not despair but rather may turn to Jesus for healing, courage, and perseverance. For Catholic schools as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, that they may continue to form our children in the fullness of Christ s truth and respond to the challenge of secularism with a clear presentation of Catholic doctrine and moral values.
