If you would be able to donate a pie or two, please call Diane Fullenkamp at Help Needed - Washing Dishes We will be washing dishes in the school kitchen, in preparation for the Parish Festival, on Tuesday, September 6th at 5:00pm. All are welcome to help. This is a great opportunity for students needing service hours! Turtle Soup Help Needed We will be cleaning vegetables for the first batch of turtle soup on Sunday, September 11th from 9:00am 12:00pm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is also a great opportunity for service hours. Any questions call Mary Jo or Mike St. Louis School News All School Masses - This year, at all school Masses, the 8th graders will be collecting envelopes from all of the students. The students are writing things on their envelopes that they are offering to God. There is no expectation that money be included. If any change is included, that money will be donated to our sister parish in Haiti at the end of the school year. Uniform Exchange - The September schedule is as follows: Sept. 10th - 9:30am 10:30am; Sept. 20-3:00pm 4:00pm; Sept. 28th - 5:30pm 6:30pm. St. Louis Youth News Save the date! The annual Steubenville Retreat for anyone currently in grades 8-12 is scheduled for June 16-18, Keep an eye out for more information coming soon! High School Youth Group Hayride - September 11, Meet in the St. Louis School back parking lot at 4:00pm. We will ride to the Brelage home for some games, campfire dinner, and more! We return to St. Louis at 8:00pm. Anyone in high school welcome! Bring a snack or drink to share. Mission Trip - Anyone planning to attend the youth mission trip to Newark Valley, NY next summer should have a registration form turned in by September 30th. The first mission team meeting is scheduled for September 25th at 4:30pm in the St. Louis School cafeteria. The next class will be offered on Tuesday, September 20th at 7:00pm in the Prickel Building. Please call the parish office to register Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be held on th, from 9:00am to 12:15pm in the Prickel Building. This meeting is for parents only. Altar Server Sign-up/Training Meeting Any students, in 5th grade or older, are welcome to become Altar Servers. All current servers should also fill out a sign up form if you wish to continue serving this school year. Altar server training will be held on th at 1:30pm for experienced servers and at 2:30pm for new servers. All altar servers must attend one of the training sessions. Verso L alto All young adults, ages 18 and older, are invited to the final summer Verso L'alto event on Friday, September 9th. Ann Lesko will speak about the charismatic renewal. Job Opening Pentecost Tours in Batesville is looking to hire a full-time travel consultant for its thriving international, Catholic pilgrimage company. The position, as the first point of contact with the customer, will answer and handle phone calls, take registrations, process registrations in the customer database and accounting system, create the initial mailing for new passengers. The individual needed must be an organized multi-tasker, proficient in proof-reading, typing, Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel), and have an excellent customer service skill-set to build rapport with new and seasoned travelers. In the vestibule of church is a Prayer Request Notebook where anyone, at any time, can write prayer concerns. The Members of the Prayer and Praise Ministry commit to praying daily for these intentions. For more urgent prayer needs (illness, surgery, etc.) there is a Prayer Chain that will get dozens of people praying immediately.
