We are blessed by your presence with us today. Whether you are a long-time parishioner, relatively new to the parish, home from school, or visiting for the weekend, we are grateful that you have chosen to worship here at St. Louis Catholic Church. As Roman Catholics, the Holy Eucharist is the center of our lives, and the source or our mission. Peter s Pence Second Collection - July 1st & 2nd Next week, our second collection will be for Peter s Pence, which provides Pope Francis with the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous. If you would like to help or for more info call Anita Brelage or Carmie Meyer St. Louis Athletic Board Fundraiser - Bill Giltz Memorial Golf Outing The 15th Annual Bill Giltz Memorial Golf Tournament will take place at North Branch Golf Course in New Point on Monday, July 31st. Registration and lunch at 11:00am, shotgun start at 12:00pm. The event is open to everyone and will be played as a 4-person handicap scramble. The entry fee is $90 per player which includes greens fee, cart fee, lunch, dinner, beverages and raffle. The proceeds go directly to the Bill Giltz Memorial Fund which helps support the St. Louis Athletic Program. Entries must be received by July 26th. If you can help with either of these games, please call Nikki Hutchinson at Bushels of Baskets The basket booth needs your help! Donations of items for baskets are currently being accepted. If you don t have a basket for your items, you can stop by the parish office to pick up a basket or we can put them in a basket for you. Plant Stand The Plant Stand is in need of pots of all sizes, plants and lawn decorations for their booth. Clay pots are great if anyone has some to spare. Pots can be dropped off on the front porch of the parish office. If you have any plants at home getting too big for the pot they are in, consider splitting them and donating them to the plant stand. Plants are not needed until the Festival. Jars for Turtle Soup Clean quart, half gallon and gallon jars may be dropped off on the front porch of the parish office. Please help by removing the labels and glue. Jars that are not true quart, half gallon or gallon size cannot be used for Turtle Soup. Mass Schedule Change Mass on Tuesday, July 4th will be at 9:00am. There will be NO 6:00pm Mass that day. Also, there will not be Rosary and Holy Hour in July. The next one will be Sunday, August 6th. Parish Office Closed The parish office will be closed Tuesday, July 4th. Bulletin Deadline Information for the July 8th & 9th bulletin is due in the parish office by 9:00am on Thursday, June 29th. Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for parents who are having their first child Baptized. The next class will be offered on Tuesday, June 20th at 7:00pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. Please call the parish office to register Baptisms are usually scheduled on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Please call the parish office to schedule a Baptism. Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be held on nd, from 9:00am to 12:15pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. There is a $40.00 fee for books and materials. For reservations call or Adoration Chapel There are three open hours for the Adoration Chapel: Sunday 10:00am; Monday 3:00am; and Friday 1:00pm. If you are able to fill one of these open hours, call Christy Fr. Stan s Book Club The next book for the Book Club is, Out of The Silent Planet, by C.S. Lewis. This is the first book in the Space Trilogy. Books are available in the parish office. The suggested donation is $7 per book. The discussions for this book will be held Tuesday, August 29th at 6:30pm and Thursday, August 31st at 9:30am.

We are looking for one person from each of the 19 parishes in our Deanery to be on the Batesville Deanery Resource Center s (BDRC) new council. We are looking to increase our outreach, create new programs, and serve all of the Catholics in the Batesville Deanery. We are looking for innovative thinkers who support the mission of the BDRC. Council members will communicate with their parishes about the BDRC s programs and resources, attend parish council meetings, assist BDRC staff with new ideas, and assist with the implementation of new programs. Fortnight for Freedom The U.S. Bishops are calling for a Fortnight for Freedom from June 21 July 4. This is a time of prayer and action to address many current challenges to religious liberty. This year s theme is Freedom for Mission. For more information visit Corinne s Believers 5K Walk/Run You're invited to the 6th Annual Corinne's Believers 5k Walk/Run, Sunday August 13, The walk will begin at the home of Steve and Sharon Meyers, West Hamburg Rd, Oldenburg, IN (Hamburg) at 10:00 am. Check in begins at 9:00am. Cost of the walk; $25.00 for 13 year old to Adults; includes donation for the walk/run, t-shirt and chicken dinner afterwards. The cost will go up to $30.00 after July 25th. Children 12 and under are $15.00, price will go up to $20.00 after July 25th. Any questions, please contact Janice Lamping at th Annual Golden Wedding Jubilee The Office of Pro-Life and Family Life invites all married couples of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis who will celebrate 50 years of marriage in 2017 to the 34th Annual Golden Wedding Jubilee. This celebration will take place on August 27th at 2:00pm, at Ss. Peter and Paul Cathedral. Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. William F. Stumpf, and will be followed by a reception across the street at the Catholic Center. The event is free, but registration is required.
