We are blessed by your presence with us today. Whether you are a long-time parishioner, relatively new to the parish, home from school, or visiting for the weekend, we are grateful that you have chosen to worship here at St. Louis Catholic Church. As Roman Catholics, the Holy Eucharist is the center of our lives, and the source or our mission. Nourished by the Word of God, we strive to instill family values, promote social justice, and foster life-long formation in the Catholic faith. As we work together to build a community dedicated to living the Gospel, we commit ourselves to generous stewardship and the responsible use of our spiritual and material resources. Prayer & Devotion Rosary & Holy Hour: First Sunday of the month at 7:00pm Prayer Service: Saturday at 8:05am Excerpts from the Lectionary for Mass 2001, 1998, 1970 CCD. Call the parish office. Marriage: Couples desiring to be married at St. Louis should be registered, active members of the parish. Anointing of the Sick: This sacrament is for anyone with a serious illness, undergoing surgery, etc., or near death. If you would like to receive the Sacrament of the Sick please call the parish office.

2 2 N e w s & N o t e s Second Collection Next weekend, January 26 & 27 we will take up a second collection for the Church in Latin America. Your gift will help to share our faith with young people in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thank you for your generosity Year End Contribution Statements Contributions to St. Louis that you want included on your 2018 End of the Year Contribution Statement must be either received in the parish office or postmarked by December 31st. Checks dated in 2018 and received or postmarked after December 31st will be included on your 2019 Contribution Statement. Contribution statements for 2018 will be mailed by January 31, Secular Franciscan Meeting The new Secular Franciscan Fraternity promoted by former Junior Third Order members will meet on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2:30pm in the front room (library) of Holy Family Rectory. Use the Pearl Street entrance. We will begin by going through the formation program for new members and as a refresher for former members. Come and see how Secular Franciscans live joyfully in the world and celebrate God s creation. Night at the Movies St. Mary s Church is sponsoring a Night at the Movies at Wolf Theater in Greensburg. GOD IS NOT DEAD 2 will be shown Tuesday, Jan. 22nd at 6:30pm. Tickets are $8.00 which includes the movie, small popcorn and drink. Tickets will be purchased at the theatre that night. Chicken Dinner St. Louis School PTO is hosting a chicken dinner at the Batesville Knights of Columbus on Saturday, Feb. 2nd, from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Adults $10, Children $5, carry out available. There will also be a cash bar, split the pot, and raffle. Camp River Ridge - Oldenburg, Indiana Are you looking for a summer camp opportunity where your child will have fun and also grow in their catholic faith? Well, look no further. Registration is now open at Y O U T H N E W S Mission Team Soup & Sub Sale The mission team is selling Mock Turtle Soup and sub sandwiches in the St. Louis Activity Center after all Masses February 2nd & 3rd. We will have a drive thru set up so you can get your soup and subs without getting out of your car. Just pull between the parish office and school through to the activity center door to pick up your orders. Order form on the back of this bulletin. Orders due in the parish office by Jan. 28th. Royal Ball and Pirate Cove The 2019 Royal Ball and Pirate Cove will take place on March 3rd in the St. Louis Activity Center. Tickets can be purchased online at TriForceMissionTeam.org/ RoyalBall or from any member of the TriForce Mission Team. Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be held on Sunday, February 3rd, from 9:00am to 12:15pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. There is a $40.00 fee for books and materials. For reservations call or text Aly at or Mike at Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for parents who are having their first child Baptized. The next class will be offered on Tuesday, February 19th at 7:00pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. Please call the parish office to register St. Louis Adoration Chapel The open hours for the Adoration Chapel are: Sunday 8:00am, 9:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, 3:00pm; Monday - 4:00am; Thursday 4:00pm; Friday 1:00pm. 4 6 N e w s & N o t e s W h a t s H a p p e n i n g Sacrament Students - Save the Dates Saturday, February 9th, 8:45am 4:30pm: Confirmation Retreat Saturday, February 23rd, 11:00am: Confirmation Sunday, May 5th, 1:00pm: First Communion Relic of The Incorrupt Heart of St. Jean Vianney The relic of the uncorrupted heart of St. Jean Vianney will be visiting Old St. Mary s in Cincinnati on January 29th from 1:00pm until 6:00pm. The Sacrament of Penance will be offered throughout the visit. There will be a brief service to welcome the relic once it arrives. At 4:30pm there will be a sermon on St. John Vianney, followed by devotions, and a procession with the relic until 5:15pm. Join us for this important visit and pray for priests! Over s & 90 s Dinner/Dance St. Nicholas will host the Celebrate Good Times Dinner and Dance in their parish hall on Saturday, February 2nd. A fried chicken country buffet will be served from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and live music from "Classic Rock Band" from 8:00pm-11:00pm. Tickets are $20 each which includes dinner, dance, and 2 beverage tickets. Cash bar (beer & wine), silent auction, tip boards, raffles, and more!
