Stan Pondo, and school secretary, Kathy Forbeck, were voted the Best in Ripley and Franklin Counties by the Herald Tribune Best of the Best Reader s Choice for 2016! Thank you to all who voted! Additional Opportunities for Confession Fr. Stan will hear confessions on Friday, March 31st and Friday, April 7th from 9:00am 1:00pm and 3:00pm 7:00pm. Second Collection There will be a second collection this weekend, March 25th & 26th, for Catholic Relief Services. This collection supports six Catholic agencies that touch more than 100 million lives around the world. This collection helps provide food to the hungry, support to displaced refugees, and Christ s love and respect to all people. St. Louis Cemetery Notice To aid in the beautification of our cemetery you are asked to abide by the cemetery regulation regarding grave decorations. Temporary grave decorations are permitted two days prior to: Easter, Mother s Day, Memorial Day, Father s Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Veteran s Day and Christmas. Decorations remaining 2 days after each of these dates will be removed and held for 2 weeks. After the holding period, cemetery personnel will discard the decorations. Permanent decorations are allowed year round if they are kept in a permanent vase or attached to the top of the stone. Any vases, flags, banners, shepherd hooks, eternal lights, etc., must be either mounted to the stone or in a sleeve in the foundation. 3-foot and 6-foot shepherd hooks with mounting bracket and an eternal light mounting bracket are available for purchase from the parish office. Festival News We are in need of chairpersons for the $100 Wheel and Bingo. Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for parents who are having their first child Baptized. Please keep those children in your prayers as they prepare for their sacraments. Paper flames and chalices with the children s names are in baskets at the Church exits. Please pick up a flame and chalice as a reminder to pray for these children. Sisters of St. Francis Auction The Sisters of St. Francis are having an auction on st from 9:30am 3:00pm in the Oldenburg Academy Gym. Preview time is 8:00am 9:30am on April 1st. Night of Worship - NOW All high school youth and young adults are invited to a monthly Night of Worship, st at St. Nicholas Parish. Fr. Shaun Whittington hosts a Night of Worship every first Saturday, 6:00pm-8:30pm. Come and enjoy adoration, witness talks, small group time, praise and worship and individual prayer. All adults are welcome. Works of Mercy Center The Works of Mercy Center in Brookville is in need of volunteers to serve dinner on the 1st and 2nd Mondays and Tuesdays of each month. They also need a volunteer to organize incoming food donations in their pantry.
