Whether you are a long-time parishioner, relatively new to the parish, home from school, or visiting for the weekend, we are grateful that you have chosen to worship here at St. Louis Catholic Church. As Roman Catholics, the Holy Eucharist is the center of our lives, and the source or our mission. St. Louis 150th Anniversary Celebration Our 150th Anniversary year is quickly approaching! There are many events planned for 2018 and many opportunities to join in the preparations. If you are interested in helping on one of the following committees, please sign up in the back of church. History/Museum Alumni Event Calling All St. Louis School Grads! As a parish, we are truly blessed by our Catholic roots. Next year we will celebrate 150 years as St. Louis Parish. One of our goals for the celebration is to form the SLCS Alumni Association. Please consider becoming a member of the Alumni Association to help ensure that our parish and school are prepared for the next 150 years. More information on signing up will be coming soon. Natural Family Planning A Natural Family Planning Class will be held on Sunday, December 3rd, from 9:00am to 12:15pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. There is a $40.00 fee for books and materials. For reservations call or Baptism Preparation Class The Baptism preparation class is for parents who are having their first child Baptized. The next class will be offered on Tuesday, November 21st at 7:00pm in the Deanery Resource Center at St. Louis. Please call the parish office to register Fr. Stan Book Club Book 3 DATE CHANGE The book, That Hideous Strength, by C.S. Lewis, will be discussed on Tuesday, January 16th at 6:30pm and Thursday, January 18th at 9:30am. Archdiocesan Tree Lighting with Archbishop Thompson You are invited on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 6:00pm to the Catholic Center Assembly Hall, Indianapolis for an archdiocesan Christmas Tree Lighting and Prayer Service. Prepare your heart for the coming of Christ and celebrate those who have shared their own light by establishing memorial endowments in the names of loved ones. For a donation of $10 or more, you can dedicate a luminaria in memory of a loved one. Gifts will be invested in the Catholic Community Foundation to support the growth of parish, school and agency ministries. A reception will follow the service. McAlear will be celebrating a Healing Mass at St. Nicholas, Sunman on Tuesday, December 12th at 7:00pm. You will have an opportunity to receive prayer from him after the Mass. Praise and Worship music starts at 6:30pm and confessions will be available. Batesville Food Pantry During November and December we see a significant increase in usage at the food pantry. Your help in providing the extra food we need is so much appreciated and we honestly couldn't do it without your generosity. St. Louis Parish is asked to donate canned fruit and fruit juices.
