5 Timothy Fund As the school year approaches, St. John s Lutheran School will be starting its 132 nd year sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to the students, families, and faculty and to the community. Each year, progress is being made. This year the projected enrollment is 109 students in K-6, and 80 in the Early Childhood Center. God continues to bless our school with a growing enrollment, excellent teachers, administration and staff as well as support from each of you. Every year the Timothy Fund has been instrumental in providing funds to allow students to attend St. John s Lutheran School. This year the number of students who have applied for Timothy Fund has increased. In order to honor all the requests for Timothy Fund during the school year, $ is needed. Please prayerfully consider donating to the Timothy Fund, enabling all of the requests to be honored. Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Gathering Food Drive ICCM Inner Community Church Ministries To help do our part, a food drive will be held the First, Second and Third Sunday in November. Please bring canned goods or monetary donations. There will be receptacles in the church office and in the Sanctuary.

6 Operation Christmas Child The Clara Kleimann Lutheran Women in Mission are filling 12 shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child by Samaritan s Purse. If you would like to help by bringing gifts for a child, these are some of the items we are collecting: 1. A Wow toy-such as a doll, soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal 2. Other fun toys, hygiene items and school supplies 3. A monetary donation each box needs $9.00 to ship to a child in another country (Things NOT to include are candy, toothpaste, used or damaged items, war-related items, such as toy guns, knives or military figures, seeds, chocolate or food, liquids or lotions, medications or vitamins, breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers, or aerosol cans.) And Remember it must fit into a standard size shoe box! If you d like to join us in this project, all donations must be on the table in the narthex by November 5th. We will be packing the boxes when we gather on Monday evening, November 6th.
