Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them (John 7:37b-38). Because You Prayed: The Lord continues to bless our region with much needed rain and snow as we begin a New Year (Psalm 147:8-9)! Health Needs: Continue to pray for Stacy Coyle (cancer treatments), Julie Scales (stroke rehab), Jazmin Hall (cancer treatments), Camilla Tarry (radiation treatments), Jeremy Jones (auto accident), Shirley Caulfield (knee surgery) and Kathy Grant (brain surgery) as they are cared for (Psalm 91:1-2). Church Life and Ministries: Lift up all of our weekly ministries as they resume in 2019 and reach out to our community (John 7:37b-38). Community, National and International Concerns: Remember our National leaders as they continue to wrestle with immigration issues and federal budget funding (I Timothy 2:1-4). 3 WEDNESDAY NIGHTS ARE BACK! After taking a break during the holidays all Night activities will resume this week, January 9, with a Spaghetti Dinner at 5:30 pm, Awana at 6:25 pm, Junior High HiLife at 6:30 pm and Church Choir Rehearsal at 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you as we start off a New Year of ministries! These classes are open to adults of all ages: Reformation - Stan Wilson, Rm. B2 Book of Judges - Joe Moesta, Fireside Rm. Men of all ages are invited to the Men s Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, January 19 in the SMBC Fellowship Center. Come at 7:00 am for a hardy and delicious breakfast and enjoy some great fellowship! The Annual SMBY Fundraiser will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019 Serving from 12:00-1:30 pm Immediately following the Worship Service. In the SMBC Fellowship Center Dinners are $10 Dine-In and Take-Our available Tickets are on sale thru January 20 from our High School Youth and in the church office. A limited number of tickets will be sold at the door. Get yours today! WINTER GRADUATES Emily Enns graduated from California Baptist University on December 12 with a degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Steven Hiebert graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BA in Physical Education on December 15, If you would like to make any changes to your information for the 2019 SMBC Church Directory please let the church office know by January 21. AWANA CAN-CAN NIGHT January 16 is "Can-Can Night," where the boys and girls will be asked to bring smashed plastic bottles and cans, the proceeds from these will go to the Feeding ministry fund. If you would like to help us with this project, please bring your cans and bottles Wed. evening, Jan. 16, or contact me before hand. EVERENCE SCHOLARSHIPS It is time to start thinking about college scholarships!
