Because You Prayed: The Mission Harvest Sunday offering was $12,329, Ruth Ratzlaff is doing well, the FCA Fields of Faith saw over 125 in attendance and the North Kern Christian School 40 th Anniversary Celebration was inspiring (John 3:16)! Health Needs: Continue to pray for Leanne Wohl (cancer treatments), Alicia Beckett (lung transplant), Stacy Coyle (cancer treatments), Marjorie Siemens (neck fracture), Bill Cummings (hospice), Julie Scales (West Nile Virus rehab), Joe and Carol Hannah (dementia/stroke), Burt Webb (abdominal surgery) and Doug Peters (hospice) as they are cared for. Also remember Med Garcia as he goes in for an angiogram on (Psalm 139:13-14). Church Life and Ministries: Remember the Trustees as they meet this week as well as our 2 nd SMBC Invitational Wrestling Tournament next Saturday (Ephesians 6:12). Community, National and International Concerns: Lift up the people of Sutherland Springs, Texas with the recent shooting at one of their churches (Psalm 18:1-2). MB Mission: Jon & Bonnie Esau in Thailand Pray for: Developing language and cultural resources for new workers Equipping Thai and Khmu leaders for church planting Bonnie s ministry at a Juvenile Detention Center (Philippians 4:13).

3 SMBC INVITATIONAL Next Saturday, November 18 we will be hosting our second annual SMBC Invitational Wrestling Tournament. This is a great opportunity to welcome many families on to our campus and serve our community. We will need approximately helpers for the day which will include setting up and taking down tables and chairs, keeping time and score for matches, receiving spectator fees and helping with a snack bar. If you d like to be part of this ministry, please indicate SMBC Invitational on a blue card or call the church office. HUME LAKE HIGH SCHOOL WINTER CAMP is February and you can reserve a spot now with a $25 deposit. Total cost of camp is $210. See Pastor Brent to sign up. NEW IN THE LIBRARY: LinSpired The Jeremy Lin Story a biography about basketball player Jeremy Lin s skills on- & off-court and his examples of faith, persistence and hard work, for ages 9 & up; A Hat for Ivan by Max Lucado - a classic heartwarming tale that captures the truth that God has made everyone for a special purpose, for ages 2 5; The Merchant & the Thief - a retelling of a classic Indian folktale that teaches powerful truths about faith, for ages 4 8; and many others! FLOWERS were place in the sanctuary today in loving memory of Rose Siemens. ADDRESS CHANGE - Marjorie Siemens has moved into room #35 at Carrington of Shafter, 250 E. Tulare Ave. Please make this change in your church directory. A FESTIVAL OF LESSONS AND CAROLS presented by Fresno Pacific University is a Christmas celebration being held November 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1540 M. St., Fresno. Tickets are $10 general admissions, $5 high school student and FPU community including alumni cardholders. All proceeds benefit the FPU music program. The plan of salvation found in Jesus Christ is the ultimate solution to the problem of human sin and getting it right brings eternal blessings! Getting it right means: Receiving salvation (vv ) Boasting in (vv ) Donations designated Community Thanksgiving may be placed in the offering, or bring to the church office.
